wonderful video ...and she is one of the girls from good old east-end ..watching this video made me have tears remember all my friends there i was born in stepney London E.1 and i know some of these kids just bloody lovely bless ....
Great voice and such an unpretentious person. Great to see the local children celebrating the success of Helen. The song was my personal icon as I was growing up: Helen and I are the same age. Awesome voice!
This was filmed at the Boundry Estate E2. I deliver there on my milk round and love the area. The flats were built in the late 1890's and have appeared on such tv shows as Ashes to Ashes and Primevil. They are still exactly the same today as they were in this video. If you are ever looking for them type in Boundry street E2, or Old Nichol street E2 and street view them.
so someone just put a phonograph out on the street for the kids? that is just too cool...we weren't allowed to dance...which is why most of us are in therapy now!
if you are a fan or like Helen Shapiro pls give ups ? not for me but to show you loved her wonderful singer ? thank you bless Brian
