It was originally "country" as written and recorded by Hank Williams, Sr., but her version has since been recognized as early "Western Swing" - and for those of you who will argue, note I said "EARLY" western swing - her stuff swung MUCH harder as time went by... I freakin' LOVE her - we even got our band name from this version - I am a member of "Honky Tonkin' Donkey" (Play it again and you will hear it) ...Yes - that surely IS devotion! LOL!!
I was fortunate to see this group around 1953 in Kingsburg Calif. along with grandpa jones and others....

@porn41508 — During that era they called it Hillbilly Boogie. This style was one of the predecessors of rockabilly. You can hear it in there!
