andruw was the best centerfielder of his era! i hate that his legacy has taken such a hit bc of his lack of production the past few years.. he was phenominal for several years.
This guy had as much talent and potential as any player in baseball history, its sad to see him go from All-Star Centerfielder to now just a bench player..he put on such much weight through the years and never seemed to lose it, I think if he can lost it he can return to his old form but he seems contempt to just being fat and a bench player...
man the blue jays should have gotten him, as a blue jays fan I HATE THE MANAGE MENT"..they fuckin never get any good free agent, they re to dam cheap man!!!! fuck riciardi!!
Also...remember Francouer was a sucker for that same curve as Andrew, but he's been working on that and I'm betting we see him raise his batting average this year.
I'm a huge Braves fan,and an Andrew Jones fan,but I gotta say this. Remember when Andrew first hit Atlanta? Great glove, spotty hitter. I think it was Pendleton that was hitting coach then. It was early enough in Andrew career that he listened to advice. And even at his best Andrew was a sucker for the outside curve.Once Andrew got multi-million contracts,I truly believe he quit working at being good. Remember,Andrew came from a poor childhood. I think he figures...hell I'm set. A shame.
i would welcome him back, BUT, we have Josh Anderson and Jordan Schafer, 2 young guys that can get it done, Josh is a base stealer and schafer a future power hitter
I think he knows by now as to what it takes to get back to the game that made hi (and the team that made him)-His fan base is there and he helped the Braves to some pennants but things seemed to get to his head and so he lost it all-well, I guess there will be less pressure in Texas and I sure hope he makes a comeback. Go AJ!!!!
Being a loyal Braves fan, I have no objection to Andrew returning to the team, BUT, only if they put him in the minors and make him prove he can hit and field once more. After all, there are no free rides in Baseball, and especially for a player who has not taken baseball seiously the last 3 yrs. The free ride is over.
He was at a Georgia tech game tonight wearing an Atlanta braves hat. Tomorrow he gets released so I guess we'll find out sooner than later if he will be a Brave once again. Ive heard he looked alot slimmer and in shape. Braves (my team) will probably sign him close to minimum wage. Nothing wrong with AJ trying to rejuvenate his career in the ATL. Im hoping for the best so he can find his path to Cooperstown.
the Atlanta braves, most fans want him back, i want him back! i feel like he can turn it around being at home! i'm about 80 percent sure he goes back to Atlanta by the end of next week

It's a shame how Jones has dropped off. Guy was one of the greatest fielders ever.

I think he hurt his leg and then got fat and slow.
This guy was close as far as guessing where he went. He got the right division at least.

Yeah I'm surprised you didn't mention Atlanta, that's where he's going.
He was working out with Chipper Jones and Brian McCann, he also looks like he's in great shape. He doesn't look overweight at all.
