I don't understand why people get thumbs down when they say it was dirty. You know what? It was dirty! Tenors scrapped their rims more than a few times and the snares had a little fuzz. Yes, the difficulty was very high and it was early season, but people aren't lying when they say it was dirty. I still think the feature is tight though.

I love free floaters. But, I hate the Falam head. Not becasue the head sucks. But, because drumlines insist on making them so tight, that it doesn't matter how good you are. At some point they sound like a bunch of fire crackers going off. If you insist on using these heads. Tune down just a little, so there aren't so many flaws. Only robots can make them be that precesion tight. Also, the camera angle sucks. The tenors are doing some cool shit. And, we can't see. Way to go, Spielberg.

We changed it to something that would be more consistent. The version we played at finals actually had more notes than the early season one. One day (I think we were in Denver) we were fooling around playing Chugs and Scott liked one of the variations we used. So, that's how the snare break "change" came about.

I agree - the stick is just cradled in the hand. My left doesn't like to go palm down now - doesn't feel as comfy. However, my trad hand has a bad tendency to let the stick slide from the fulcrum - how do you fix this without putting a death grip on?
