I came from a family of poverty and am now making close to 6 figures a year at age 23 doing a job I love to do and a job that makes a difference in the world. How about work/study HARDER to get that scholarship and financial assitance for college and work HARDER to move up from that minimum wage job. We all start out at the bottom. My mother is a teacher, has been a teacher for like thirty-five years and she can't even afford to retire right now. Her pay has been cut so heavily that she barely makes $1000 a month. The thing is, the economy is down for middle class and poor people, but the 1% are making more money than ever.

I also think that just because some one can't or doesn't go to college that they should live in poverty. I think that if a person is working a full time job they should make enough money to live decently on. We're the richest country in the word, we should have better standards for even our lowest class.

@dafjkldfa Yes there are ills which happen by those who are greedy and those things can be delt with, but to change our system because of some who abuse it would be tragic to most common people. Most americans who are protesting at wall st are protesting the wrong people, they should be in Washington DC, protesting those who allow foreign countries labor to compete with our labor and have access to our markets, a simple tariff law would level the playing field.

@dafjkldfa Current system: you have multiple lemon aid stands, you buy your lemons from china because it is cheaper putting the American farmer out of business, and putting the other lemon aid stands out of business who want to buy American grown lemons. who is to blame? the banker who loaned the business owner the money to by his stand and lemons, or the Gov, who allowed the chinese cheap lemons to be sold on American markets with out a fee?
