It's just a game based on Simplicity....i guess you could say. It's more for Creative ppl. You can build just about whatever you want. It's like your alone in a world to do whatever you want. There are things to do that you can set for goals but there isnt really a story line and there aren't things you have to accomplish at a specific of time. It definitely gets boring quick, but Modders add things to the game that you can install that make it endless. It's more fun on multiplayer IMO
I think the reason so many people like minecraft including myself is because the is no mission you can creat and destroy connect with people online and play adventure maps with or build great structures and try to survive. It' might not be as exiting as say Modern Warfare 3 but you can spend alot of time and have fun
I feel you blade. Same thing with skyrim. I went over to my friends house and played it for an hour and thought it was dumb. He told me to give it a chance and let me borrow it. I used it for another two hours and couldn't stand it. It was terrible. The storyline is terrible, the interface is terrible. The graphics are great, I'll give them that, but the game is terrible.

you dont understand, people love it because it can NEVER end, there is no story line so you dont have to throw it out when you finish a mission. there is always more to expand on it or another one to do. i personally like it better than call of duty, halo, and battlefield combined. when i play cod, i play in standard definition, i dont care about graphics, if i date a girl with a great personality, i dont give a shit if she is ugly or hot.

This is my honesty opinion about Minecraft. The reason Minecraft is so successful is not because of the graphics, obviously. Notch went back to the fundamentals of gaming where graphics aren't that important. He created a game that brings back retro with a new twist to it. Let's be honest, have we ever seen a game where you can build so much with cubes outside of legos? Not only is the gameplay (which can be extremely boring at times.) made the game successful, It was the people who host severs.

survival: the begining consists of you /w nothing but ur bare hands... no. 1 priority.. get wood from trees... no. 2 dig an underground base to chill in /w all ur wood and make wood sword, wood axe(for cutting wood MUCH faster), wood pickaxe(mining rock, cobblestone, etc.), and a wooden shovel for digging dirt much faster.. and to make all this u need to make a workshop (or whatever it is called) and make planks then sticks.. and upgrade as in wood, rock, etc etc.. and build an awesome home..
minecraft literally has a lot to offer.. survival is one thing which can be played alone or with a friend(which is much more fun, in my opinion) and the whole thing is is that it is the world YOU can explore, or take advantage of. Main reason most people do not like it is because they do not know how to play. im not saying that people that do know how to play are stupid bc i understand that some games just aren't fun to people.. but playing with a pro or alone and knowing what youre doing is fun

Creativity sums it up in one word. You have endless possibilities to create whatever you can imagine. True it seems boring. But you have to realize people create thousands of custom mods and maps so that you can play adventure maps that actually have a story or download mods that make the game way more interesting. Not to mention there is an awesome community with multiplayer servers ranging from PVP, huge group projects, and regular free building. That's the best way I can explain it.
Minecraft is a great game because it is different everytime you play it. (REPLAYABILITY). It gives the player a sense of adventure, and creativity. (GAMEPLAY). I used it for another two hours and couldn't stand it. It was terrible. The storyline is terrible, the interface is terrible. The graphics are great, I'll give them that, but the game is terrible.

you dont understand, people love it because it can NEVER end, there is no story line so you dont have to throw it out when you finish a mission. there is always more to expand on it or another one to do. i personally like it better than call of duty, halo, and battlefield combined. when i play cod, i play in standard definition, i dont care about graphics, if i date a girl with a great personality, i dont give a shit if she is ugly or hot.

This is my honesty opinion about Minecraft. The reason Minecraft is so successful is not because of the graphics, obviously. Notch went back to the fundamentals of gaming where graphics aren't that important. He created a game that brings back retro with a new twist to it. Let's be honest, have we ever seen a game where you can build so much with cubes outside of legos? Not only is the gameplay (which can be extremely boring at times.) made the game successful, It was the people who host severs.

survival: the begining consists of you /w nothing but ur bare hands... no. 1 priority.. get wood from trees... no. 2 dig an underground base to chill in /w all ur wood and make wood sword, wood axe(for cutting wood MUCH faster), wood pickaxe(mining rock, cobblestone, etc.), and a wooden shovel for digging dirt much faster.. and to make all this u need to make a workshop (or whatever it is called) and make planks then sticks.. and upgrade as in wood, rock, etc etc.. and build an awesome home..

minecraft literally has a lot to offer.. survival is one thing which can be played alone or with a friend(which is much more fun, in my opinion) and the whole thing is is that it is the world YOU can explore, or take advantage of. Main reason most people do not like it is because they do not know how to play. im not saying that people that do know how to play are stupid bc i understand that some games just aren't fun to people.. but playing with a pro or alone and knowing what youre doing is fun

Creativity sums it up in one word. You have endless possibilities to create whatever you can imagine. True it seems boring. But you have to realize people create thousands of custom mods and maps so that you can play adventure maps that actually have a story or download mods that make the game way more interesting. Not to mention there is an awesome community with multiplayer servers ranging from PVP, huge group projects, and regular free building. That's the best way I can explain it.

Minecraft is a great game because it is different everytime you play it. (REPLAYABILITY). It gives the player a sense of adventure, and creativity. (GAMEPLAY). Minecraft can be for everyone. It is cheap for you poor asses,(you know who you are :p) you can play offline if you don't have internet, and if you play fps's you would like it because you kill enemies. Its basically like a game to make your imagination run wiled but has boundaries. Its great for any gamer, or anyone who doesn't really game. Any one could get into it. @PapaLesPaul That's exactly my point. In Painkiller Already 57, he was talking about Duke Nukem and said that the graphics in the game aren't what make it a bad game, that it was the gameplay that he didn't enjoy.
Blade's point in this commentary was that Minecraft is an ugly girl, meaning he was essentially saying Minecraft was an ugly legoblock game. If he truly meant what he said in PKA 57, he would have based his opinion off the gameplay instead.
