@JTFord91 Meh, he had the physical play very very very right, but the psychological side of the character was lost somewhere. Also, the accent wasn't very present. I know this is an hard accent to imitate, but that's where good acting skills come useful. And for his defence, I must say that exept for the main character, the x-men movies greatly lost the psychological of their characters, so it ain't only Gambit, but also Deadpool, Cyclops, Maverick, etc.

They totally screwed up with Gambit. Hello! His eyes are supposed to be red-on-black, not an oridinary brown. Not to mention, they screwed up with a few others. Whoever was the director, didn't do their research very well. As for myself? I give this movie a very, very low 2

God, he is so excellent. He totally looks like Gambit, although I hear the accent is not satisfactory (which is a bummer, considering that's one of the best things about Gambit).

Well, a Cajun accent's pretty hard to pull off. He had the jist of it down, he just needs to practise some more. I think part of it is that he's so used to playing Tim Riggins and using that accent. Things slip.

The guy who played "Reneè" in the first season of True Blood did great (at the Cajun accent)!! He had it down-pat! Throughout the entire season I couldn't get over how much he sounded like Gambit, from the animated series, and he would have been awesome in this role.. Even looks-wise, I reckon he could've pulled it off (with longer hair, of course!) But what can ya do.. *shrugs*

I personally feel that Gambit Vs Deadpool would be amazing and hilarious because Gambit would grab Deadpool and change his Kinetic Energy to a violent chain-reaction, causing Deadpool to blowup, which he would recover from within like 30 seconds, XD

@deadtacojr (in case my reply doesn't register) if you go by comics, gambit used to be able to charge living matter. But after accidenttally charging and killing alot of people he went to Mister Sinister (a geneticist) and had him tone done his powers. After that he could only charge by touch (could charge from a distance before) and he could not charge living matter. so sadly that would be cool. but impossible. but movies are all fan fiction ayway. They ruined Deadpool.
