Yaris 1.8 SR/TS 2008 Toyota

we had this car in UK sold it last year it was not what we thought it would be like not particulary fast ecconomical of good to drive due to the ridiculous 17inch wheels. Traded it in for the 1.4d4D which is everything the 1.8SR should have been, bags of torque good acceleration and 55mpg. Not surprised Toyota have dropped the 1.8 model from the range now pointless car and expensive to tax also.

@lonewolf0401 Eh no, it's called Vitz in Japan only. I live in PR (US territory) and I got a 1.5L Yaris hatch '07. They've been sold in the US since 2006, the 1.8L is exclusive to Canada in the American region.

@BeyondXS They sold this 1.8 car all over the world for a few years, but the US never got it. All we get are sport plastic bumpers and fog lights. How lame. This SR or TS had a Corolla 1.8 liter engine. Better than the standard 1.5 we get.

Toyota dont just make the yaris though. Look at the Supra for example, hardly an old persons car. I bought it for the looks to be honest not speed, yes though your right. it isnt a sports car, and it does lack what other cars have. I think they call it a 'warm hatch' for that reason.

Well why did you buy one? Hahah! Sorry :'( . Its the same engine they use in the Celica, obviously just tuned down. That's what I read anyway although I'm not really a car buff so I cant say that's definate. What are you on about? Sports genes. This is an engine not an animal. Nor has it genes or dna lol. if you say the dashboard is high like a fence then you must be below 5 feet... The car zips around and pulls its own weight fine, I imagine you don't know how to drive very well. Congrats on your motorcycle purchase. Lets see how long you keep that before you deem it too dangerous

Nice one! You will love it. I had a 1.0 T2 and I loved it I was sorry to see it go!

This one has just done about 2500 miles now and the power has increased somewhat! The handling is amazing and although its a 1.8 if driven nicely you can still achieve some good mpg rates!
