Wonderful. Despite listening to this album a hundred times, I never really caught the beauty of this song. An outstanding job showing Blondie and particularly Debbie's versatility.
Idk if most of you know this but this song is from the musical "Camelot", it is sung by Nimue , The Lady of the Lake. I Love Blondie, they can cross over to so many different genre & pull it off & that takes TRUE TALENT to do ! <3
the final cut of the track brings a huge triumphent note for the album. such a beautiful piece from start to finish. among one of my favourite albums of all time on a personal level.
hahahahaha all those times i've listened to this, and i never noticed that at the end! This is a song i could do without on the album... it's a little boring. but, it is blondie, so i still listen to it...lol
Far from day far from night out of time out of sight In between earth and sea we shall fly Follow me Dry the rain warm the snow where winds never go Follow me Follow me Follow me to a cave by a sapphire shore Where we'll walk through an emerald door And for thousands of breathless evermore's my life you will be Only you Only I World farewell World goodbye To our home 'neath the sea we shall fly Follow me Follow me Follow me Follow me Follow me
Best version of this song I've heard by far.It has that finallity feeling of the song "Ebb Tide" using the sound of ocean waves as it did for that dreamy effect..One of the best songs to end an album.(some import versions actually omit this beautiful song for some stupid reason!)
@mikestanners I played Live it Up in 1981 in a band for a big High School graduation dance, along with some of her hits .Another personal fav we performed was Do the Dark. When she was with the Jazz Passengers they checked into the motel I was working front desk and all the guy said was do you have a nice room for our special lady ,I had no idea it was Debbie Harry and missed out on a big chance to meet her and probably party with her after I would have told her the songs I performed of hers.Damn!
Best Blondie song ever off one of the best albums ever.It contains a 1920's song,a 30's song ,a 40's,2 60's songs,2 70's,and a classical piece.Most versitile record ever made.
Representation Not Hate. Old films, Old England, Greek Heritage. European Greek The 300. There is trouble all over Europe. A sinister movement of extreme left-wing ideology is causing fear and violence. They want to destroy heritage and cultures of all Europe.
Wow I never noticed it been said "your not really going to put this on the album are you?" cool thanks ottawamanz, think song from the musical "South Pacific" I'm I right? great vocals by Debbie on this.
this is my favorite album of blondie's. it's too bad the kids don't get how important the song list was on an album. this is the last song on side 2..... for a reason...
at the very end of this song as it fades out, turn up the volume very high, you can hear the sound technician say"your not really going to put this on the album, are you?" they were to experimental for thier own peers, got to love blondie.
@ottawamanz It wasn't any sound technician. It was no less than Clem Burke, the drummer of the band! He said that at the moment and the band thought it'd be nice to do put it up.
terrific song!..love Blondie...

first of all this certainly is not a video. Second, this is the purest "Blondie", her voice says it all.

After much tinkering, it sounds as if she replies "I Hope So". Perhaps she remembers.

Well, I must say, many kids of my generation don't even see the worth in buying music at all.
However, I love vinyl. I'm so much happier when I find an original piece of vinyl at a second-hand market. It makes my day.
