  • should of shown it in ACTION

    and add a motor?

and how do you tackle lots of short lengths with kinks in them, or thinner comms cables

  • I have been using a blade, cargo strapping cut into short pieces, screwed to a heavy table. You sharpen one side of blade and mount with screws through springs taken from conventional spray guns. You push one end into the blade from dull side and pull, push wire though from sharp side, and pull.

  • High view count but low number of thumbs up/ down probably means a lot of working fellows without youtube accounts looked up this video.

  • De las màquinas peladoras de cable, èste concepto es el màs sencillo y mejor.

this is a good idea, thanks friend for the video.

  • How do you adjust for cables with different diameters ?

  • @antsrealm the blade holder moves on a slot, just loosen a screw and tap it up or down.

  • @Aussie50 Sounds easy enough. The only thing i'm thinking is I have some 95mm XLPE and some 150mm XLPE to strip. the blade will be off centre with a larger diameter cable. Does that matter? and also does it matter if the cable is larger in diameter then the width of the pulley?

  • @antsrealm

If the blade is centered over the pully, it will never be off centre. The bigger the wire, the more it will ride up in the pulley, so move the blade up higher, if its smaller stuff, it will ride lower in the pully, and you will need to move the blade lower. It should never be off centre, unless you are not using the pulley.

  • interesting this is your most popular video, I wonder why?

  • @leokimvideo yeah its beyond me!, seems too simple and incomplete to even count.

maybe its the word 'stripper' that gets peoples attention :D

  • @Aussie50 Its cause there is a picture of a big yellow machine not this one u have on here

  • @leokimvideo people like watching cable

  • I,ve used motorized ones they used ether a fixed blade like yours. and used 1 with a rotating blade.I worked at a scrap metal yard.

  • Very neat!

  • good idea
