Iran could do very little after a crippling attack, except bandage their wounded dignity and retire from their plans of world conquest, and domination of all Islamic countries in the ME.

And the US would not have lost Turkey as an ally, since they have now gone to the Iran/Syria/ axis.

It was too late for sanctions to work even three years ago; the Iranians are too far invested to stop.

People like Phyllis, who argue for NOT attacking Iran before the bomb will be seen as Neville Chamberlains.

Try reading a newspaper consistently for the past twenty years and then tell me that Iran has not got any plans at domination of the Middle East, and that Syria is not her satellite and that the Hizbollah has not received any money, support, or training from Iran. And that is just for starters. Iran has wet dreams about her glorious past and wants to be the center of attention. They are also jealous of Israel's existence.

Very insightful. Her comments about the nuclear non proliferation treaty were spot on. America does not hold the moral high ground, and really hasn't for a long time. We act like we do, but in reality we don't. America is the most weaponized nation on earth. We spend far more on our military. We've been invovlved in far more areas than the others. We're the only country to use an atomic bomb. We firebombed dozens of japanese cities and killed millions. We firebombed dresden. Etc.

Sorry, Iran is a threat to the US if it has nuclear weapons. Iran is our public enemy, make no doubt about that. So, if Iran gets a weapon, they can hold us and the west hostage in the Middle East. You haven't seen gas prices until you see Iran with a nuclear weapon.
