I remember hearing this on the broadcast that season. I was in Nashville, in the grocery, listening with headphones, and had to stop what I was doing. Damn near dropped a carton of eggs! Now I'm in London, and the ROH just mounted a pathetically miscast and undersung Don Carlo. Who can sing like this today? Thank God for YouTube and opera queens!
