They have been playing the "extended" 12 minute live version a lot this year which they really haven't done since earlier in the decade. I've seen them 5 times and the one time back in '02 when they played the 12 minute variation with loops was more than epic.

I wasn't a big fan of the one they performed on the Clarity Tour; they seemed to be in a bit of a rush. They also forgot alot of the instruments that were used in the album version as well. I'm just saying that an eight minute performance is kinda half-hearted as the song is sixteen minutes.

The album version has tons of looping and electronic work that is impossible/impractical to recreate live. Their live version is pretty incredible considering the track.

@xLordOfTheFliesx I agree with you to a point...it was great what they did, though I just wish they had repeated a few of the vocal "Da Da Da" parts a couple more times. I wish Zach had rolled towards the end for more than a few measures. I agree...it's great what they did...just a shame that it ended so quickly. You can't really doze off to this version like the album version...too many changes and additions too quickly.

@xLordOfTheFliesx nope that is a lie! i saw them live just yesterday and they played the whole thing. like the whole thing. at least 12 minutes. and it was incredible. even way better than the cd version. it was stunning. you need to experience that yourself its indescribable.
