  • We did Blood Brothers with our brother school about a month ago (best time ever!) and I was Miss Jones !! :P LOL feels weird watching someone else do it.. O.o haha

  • it's meant to sound electronic :S

  • my friend is doing this show in a couple weeks and she summed up what the entire show is about like this:

    1) superstition

    2) death

    3) shoes beingg on a table

  • @luv2writeksa and Marilyn Monroe

  • its a very happy sounding song though:S

  • Good luck to everyone studying this for GCSE's. I did it for my GCSE's 6 years ago and aced it, so you should all do well.

Plus, it's my favourite musical :D

  • Because its obviously gonne be her next single. XD I wish they'd release the soundtrack properly. The only place i've seen it is on ebay and at the theatres where it's being performed.

  • Yeah, I meant "myself" not "myslef"*

  • Miss Jones represents one of Thatcher's Thousands in the 80's (not 70's lol) in places like Liverpool it was so hard for these people to get work and there was major trouble and inflation. That's what the whole play is about, class. Well, and superstition. Mr. Lyons in this song just represents a big boss type. And yes he is firing Miss Jones, but it is significant that Mickey is being fired.

Yeahh my explanation is a bit lamee but yeahh=] xx I love this songg.

  • Thanks. I think. I can't work out whether you're making fun of me or not. See, I wasn't dumbing myslef down, it comes naturally to me.

I add extra letters on the ends of the words intentionally. I don't know why, and yes, I probably should stop, but I probably won't, to be honest.

    Still love this song(:.

  • Song got stuck in my head

  • I LOVE Blood Brothers :)

Went To See It The Other Week, I'm Writing About It For My GCSE Too, Good Luck To Everyone Who's Taking It :)

Oh, And Miss Jones Is The One Writing All The Letters To Say They've Been Fired, But Then, Ironically, She Gets Fired, To Emphasise The Point 'It's Just Another Sign Of The Times'.

    Oh Yeah. I've Revised.

    Lol.

    :)

  • yeah i'm studying it too

i saw it last year but i'm going to see it again

    good luck to you too

  • this song has been stuck in my head all day and bright new day :P

  • i cant for the life of me rember when this song comes in and who the hell is miss jones...?

is that ment to be mrs jhonston..?

  • well thn you wernt paying attention at the show!!

  • not true ive seen this show like 5 times i still dunno who miss jones..i think shes just some randomer getting fired..

  • mrs johnstone is mrs jones, sory desided to tell u cause doing it for gcse

  • oh ok thanx (im doin it 4 GCSE 2 im screwed...) i just thought it seemed kinda random...if dats mrs johnstone wheres she gettin fired from? coz its mr lyons whos firing her/ singing bout firing her...i duno this play is rather confusing..:P

  • No! This isnt right, Mrs Jones is just a stereotypical worker from the 1970's who is getting fired along with everybody else. This part of the story is just another part to show how everybody is getting fired.

  • his secretary is miss jones

  • no miss jones is mr lyons' secretary

  • oh Miss Jones isnt ace, Mr Lyons is good though =)

  • I was in our performance of Blood Brothers, It won the state competition. I really enjoyed it even though it was cut to forty five minutes.

  • I love this song! I haven't been to see Blood Brothers, but I reall REALLY want to!! My friend has the soundtrack on his ipod, thats where I heard it, and its great!

  • i absolutely LOVED this play, my teacher had been to 13 of them and the one we saw was the worst performance she's ever seen. of course it wasnt this one, i love this! its amazing. willy russell is one of the greatest playwrights in the world imo. =] excellent performace this is =]

  • this is amazing! so good!!!

  • I know this is my 3rd time, but I am so impressed with your version of this amazing musical. If I remember right, the narrator is the one singing about Mickey in that scene - in which case that was totally amazing... Once again, highly impressed.

Ok, I'll stop commenting now... maybe
