We did Blood Brothers with our brother school about a month ago (best time ever!) and I was Miss Jones !! :P LOL feels weird watching someone else do it.. O.o haha
Because its obviously gonne be her next single. XD I wish they'd release the soundtrack properly. The only place i've seen it is on ebay and at the theatres where it's being performed.
Miss Jones represents one of Thatcher's Thousands in the 80's (not 70's lol) in places like Liverpool it was so hard for these people to get work and there was major trouble and inflation. That's what the whole play is about, class. Well, and superstition. Mr. Lyons in this song just represents a big boss type. And yes he is firing Miss Jones, but it is significant that Mickey is being fired.
Yeahh my explanation is a bit lamee but yeahh=] xx I love this songg.

The best thing about this post is that you sum up exactly in the first paragraph, then seem almost ashamed by your intelligence and try to 'dumb' yourself down in the final sentence by spelling badly!!!
Went To See It The Other Week, I'm Writing About It For My GCSE Too, Good Luck To Everyone Who's Taking It :)
Oh, And Miss Jones Is The One Writing All The Letters To Say They've Been Fired, But Then, Ironically, She Gets Fired, To Emphasise The Point 'It's Just Another Sign Of The Times'.
oh ok thanx (im doin it 4 GCSE 2 im screwed...) i just thought it seemed kinda random...if dats mrs johnstone wheres she gettin fired from? coz its mr lyons whos firing her/ singing bout firing her...i duno this play is rather confusing..:P
No! This isnt right, Mrs Jones is just a stereotypical worker from the 1970's who is getting fired along with everybody else. This part of the story is just another part to show how everybody is getting fired.
I love this song! I haven't been to see Blood Brothers, but I reall REALLY want to!! My friend has the soundtrack on his ipod, thats where I heard it, and its great!
i absolutely LOVED this play, my teacher had been to 13 of them and the one we saw was the worst performance she's ever seen. of course it wasnt this one, i love this! its amazing. willy russell is one of the greatest playwrights in the world imo. =] excellent performace this is =]
I know this is my 3rd time, but I am so impressed with your version of this amazing musical. If I remember right, the narrator is the one singing about Mickey in that scene - in which case that was totally amazing... Once again, highly impressed.

Thanks. I think. I can't work out whether you're making fun of me or not. See, I wasn't dumbing myslef down, it comes naturally to me.
I add extra letters on the ends of the words intentionally. I don't know why, and yes, I probably should stop, but I probably won't, to be honest.
Still love this song(:.
