now that I see this, I think Mythbusters might have been wrong... in this video, THERE IS NO PLYWOOD BOARD in the rig as this man is flying in the air -the plywood stays on the peir. that is why the guy in this video flew as well as he did. (1)there was no extra plywood weight. (2) also the areo dynamics were better because the bottles-and-man rig are more areo dynamic than the bottles-man-and-plywood rig that MythBusters used... weight and areo dynamics are everything in rockets

Oh? IIRC, the one they tested on Mythbusters was *fire extinguishers* which, among other things are much heavier, reducing the overall thrust (more thrust is used to move the *motor* than is being used to move the payload)
