Garrison also felt threatened by the fact that Fredrick Douglass was well spoken. Garrison was concerned that people wouldn't believe that Mr Douglass was a recent slave. But, Fredrick Douglass refused to talk like "a slave" thus his reasons for writitng his autobiography.

I just finished reading the book "Giants". It compares the lives of Fredrick Douglass and President Lincoln. I don't know why I picked this book up but I'm so glad I did! I don't want to put it down
