I am not familiar with the 930SPX. So I guess the ghost load technique adds an additional 2 cartridges to the already fully loaded magazine?

I'm not sure how many this can load but lets say you have a shotgun with a mag capacity of 8 add one to the chamber is 9, and add one over the shell cover loader thing and thats 10

based on the mechanism, I want to say you can do this on literally EVERY shottgun out there, that has this tubular magazine.

@drewnickel It might work for the 870, but since mossberg pumps do not have a spring loaded lifter plate, i dont think it will work

Dude, your mechanical safety is like...a mechanical device prone to failure. Safeties do not make a gun safe. To make the firing line safe all actions are open and no ammo is in any firearm, no exceptions (well except on the trap range with break action shotguns). As soon as the first round is in the gun it is no longer "safe" with or without the safety. Leave the safety off and keep the bolt open or carry in condition three until ready for use. Don't use a 'safety'.

@spdwyblu05xrun Not sure about you, but we dont have to pop the safety on to reload when shooting threegun. Just keep your finger off the trigger, keep it pointed safely down range, and move on.

Thanks for the idea. I applied it to the Winchester Super X2 and it also worked with them. You might check the "express" load video on my channel for a slightly faster way to accomplish the same load, it looks like it might work on the 930 also

I have owned a lot of guns, my SPX has very low recoil and goes bang every time, the sights rock. I wish it was easier to clean, kind of a pain to break down and clean, starting to rust to. I will be buying another one soon! When are they going to include sling mounts?

I have a 930 spx and there is a break in period. I recommend to use high loads and shoot off at least 150 shells off. Dam thing is very accurate only problem was the mag tube spring has F**ked and only would let me hold 5 shells, am getting a new one sent to me.

This should take 2010 shotgun of the year if they knew what it's capable of, I guess you can't be as enthused about it as an owner of it would be, goes to show you what youtube contributes too seriously I'm stoaked... :-D

The couple things that holds this gun back is the quality issue some have had with the front sight being misaligned. Also some people run out of elevation when sighting it in. If mossberg would fix these issues it would greatly help this gun out and might get some more after market manufactures making parts for it. Mine has run flawless but I have seen a number of posts about issues. Sad really because the design is great and the price is fair.

i was just told this morning that mine is being replaced for some of those reasons...that and the mag spring tube seizes and then tries to release 3 live shells all at once into the receiver.

The 930 SPX already took the NRA golden bullseye shotgun of the year for 2009 and only new guns can win that award so you cant win it twice. It also won the Shooting Sports Academy of Excellence shotgun of the year. Thats 2 shotgun of the year awards for 2009...not bad.

Agree agree, I have a 930 spx and I went and cycled 9 shots through it several times and I'll be damned if it doesn't cycle it just fine, I was 90% sure it would and it did no sh!t!!! But do you understand it was 2009 shotgun of the year @ an 8 shot configuration does anybody else think it's epic that it cycles 9 shot flawlessly...? Do you guys think Mossy knows it can cycle 9 shot...? Is anybody else as excited as I am...?

the only shot guns blowing up ive heard of is called the 20/12 burst thats when some accidently puts a 20ga round in a 12ga and fires it i did see vids of that happening when i took my gun safty couse.

F@cking Sweet, have a 930 myself but never seen anyone actually fire off 9 rds from it. I suppose its on par with remie's auto loader now, bet then again you might be able to ghost load a remy to 10 shot, lol I was too chicken shit to try that myself, too many horror stories of shotties blowing up in peoples faces...

the worst this could possibly do to the weapon is cause a FTE or FTF, i dont know what fairy tale you have been reading about it causing a shotgun to explode.
