Just found this posting yesterday! Thanks for posting these classic songs! I first heard 3 of these songs on the radio way back in 1969. At that time, the progressive rock radio station where I lived played the "Episode Containing 3 Songs" (Cut No. 6 from the album) which included "N.Y. Op." which was a real trippy and psychedelic tune that leaded into "Land Of Dog" and then "Mr. Henri The Clown". I absolutely loved it! Any chance of getting the entire 3-song "Medley" posted??? Thanks!!!
@glauberovsky Hi! Any luck with that Asylum Choir request (Episode Containing 3 Songs)? I hope I'm not bothering you. As great as that album ("Look Inside") is, I'm amazed that NO ONE has posted that complete 3-song masterpiece! I have always considered it just about the greatest "Underground/Psychedelic/Hippie Coffeehouse" classic that was recorded in the late 1960's. Thanks!
@johnwoa john, could i send these 3 songs to you [or the album d-load link? i'm havin' a lil trouble uploading long period vids on ytube. gotta solve this with my pc. sorry, friend.
I visited NYC in '67, at 16 yr old. Saw the Fugs and picked up this paper and lo and behold.... Marc and Leon on either side of a spread eagled woman. It was my first sight of a vagina and I saved that page for a long time. long time. No wonder Leon got religion
This is great stuff that we used to "trip out" at the lake listening to the Asylum Choir. gonna have to dig into my vinyl and take another trip down Memory Ln! Thanks for postin! i wore out My 8track version of this!

@glauberovsky Leon has been around. Saw him in Deep Ellum in Big D and he was very frail but played and played. his band took a break but rather than mess with the stairs, Leon played solo. he stuck around and signed stuff for anyone who wanted. Rock legend had some great shows with Willie too! Look out Rock 'n roll hall of fame!
omg i bought this album on cassette when cassettes where the latest thing, fell in love with the off the wall songs and arrangements, makes me think Jeff Lynn of the ELO had a copy as early ELO stuff had the same feel.
Land of Dog and Henri The Clown are very good, but if one is impatient and wants to skip to the GREAT part of this compilation, jump to the 4:22m mark and listen to Thieves In The Choir and Black Sheep Boogaloo. Russell at his very best.
FANTASTIC ..... I remember buying this LP just because of the original "Toilet Paper" cover the rest was history I love this LP from start to finish and I'm happy that they finally decided to put it out on CD... I just wish they used the original cover for it....
I've had this album on vinyl, cassette, and 8 track over the years. I got my album burned onto CD. They messed up the couple of tracks on the Asylum Choir II that were put on as filler at the end on the CD.
