I would have to agree with all of this but carlos santana. If anything he's way overated. Have you noticed that every thing that comes out from him is other peoples music that he simply plays box leads over. I'm not saying he's bad, but his most famous song was stolen from another musician who collaberated on it with him. I can't recall the fellow's name, but he wasn't given any credit for the song. Plus, I've heard santana beats his wife. I must admit though that I only heard that somewhere.

You actually think that hendrix was the best there ever was? I'm not saying he was bad. Far from it. But, just because he was the first to make something popular doesn't make him the best. My favorite guitar player is Van halen, but I know he isn't the best. He was just the first to make that style of playing popular. Hendrix's style was way too noisy. It's very difficult to hear the notes because of the feedback. Feedback is good here and there, but not that much. It takes away from the music.

I'd agree about Hendrix but the odd time that he does play without any feedback you can tell that he was still out of this world.

I love Eddie Van Halen also - and I don't think there will be another guitarist that had his impact - it will be very hard because everything that needed to be said musically has been said
