No he's not. His accent is quite strong still. He just doesn't speak like a regular Irish Joe straight out of the pub because it's hard to market that to an audience like in America and Canada and in other places in Europe when that's not what they're used to. Even actors from the Southern America have to lighten up their accents to make themselves more marketable to a broader audience.
