finally got around to watching the Pajero ad you made, now that i can afford such things it has occurred to me to actually buy one.Long term i found one that needs a new wheel bearing and C.V. Would this be covered by a manufacturers warranty and is the insurance of the lower level now it is cheaper and more mainstream?
Regards LandRoverPETER.
P.S. it doesnt have the charm or fitness making levels of a real LandRover i still have my new 53 model so there!
@LandroverB1 My 1976 sires 3 is still going too! It is funny because the farmer next door buys a new Mitsubishi or Toyota every 5 years and he say that is because there more reliable and i say to him that i have being relying on this one land rover for over 30 years and she's never let me down!
I drive a 1993 LWB Shogun with the 2.5TD engine,she is not quick,but i feel safe in her,and she does her job 100%,they still cut the mustard,in an age when vehicle design has lost the plot.
No, I drove as company cars (for an international organisation with white cars and two black letters on the sides) a Pajero for 10 months and then a Prado for a year. Not only the Pajero broke down more than double the times (the Toyota actually NEVER did) but more importantly during caravans only the Prado got thourgh some of the terrains (steep hills, loose sand, gravel, rocks, rivers) I don't know, maybe the Pajero is better on snow or ice, otherwise it is CLEAR BY MILES...
@alernest pajero is a beast on the orad though a bit of a slouch especially after 20 years use but better than the prado, we have a pajero and my uncle has a prado he has so many engine cyclinder problems that now its just a pain in the ass but he does push his car alot harder than us soz for the life story

Funny...
This car was named "Shogun" in Britain, "Montero" for Latin America and "Pajero" everywhere else.
The reason being that "Pajero" means wanker/masturbator (apologies) in spanish...
Good but annihilated by the Prado in every way...

@MrPecony
It was particularly different in deep mud: Sometimes not even the LandCruisers got through, only the lighter, higher and slimmer Prados.
BTW: I have no other preferences, I am not biased, I own neither a Prado nor a Pajero, I just drove them for my former job.
