@dhwanitchem it does not contain enough potassium i dont know why everyone thinks they have such massive amounts of potassium in them there is certainly a significant amount in terms of dietary intake but on a scale of actual content it isnt that massive

we conducted this experiment in orgo class today and the color indeed was yellow. To achieve maximum resistance and thus maximum energy "wasted" on the excitement of Na+ ions, and thus the more steady the glow, he should have chosen a big pickle and stuck the forks at the end.

All you gotta do is burn some table salt... NaCl no? Just like a flame test, all sodium compounds are yellow, just like all calcium's are brick red.
