  • Haha.. and i bet the hair replacement companies want us to feel really bad about it so that we go and buy their shitty products.

  • fuck genes! they screwed up my hair. im 16 and 50% bald at the top :)

  • @ChaosDynamics If you are willing to try this experiment and prove or disprove this theory please go ahead. I'd rather be bald.

  • but my side of hair got thin too!

  • I'm so glad I'm not bald like you assholes.

  • @Ladiestreat Never say never!

  • for everyone who is asking why balding occurs only in the frontal area and mid of the scalp, that is because the lower sides of the head and the lower back of the head called " doner " area are not bond by the enzyme 5 alpha reductase which binds with testosteron to form the very famous DHT so they parts of the scalp are not affected by DHT thats why in hair transplant which is taken from these areas, the new hair is anti DHT and anti male pattern baldness

  • I do not subscribe to this man's defeatist attitude claiming that genetics is the only determining factor with MPB.

Imagine you have two twin brothers. One is a health freak who eats right every day, excercises, gets plenty of fresh air, doesn't smoke and takes vitamin supplements.

The other is overweight, smokes, drinks excessively and is a couch potato. Are we expected to believe they will both go bald at exactly the same rate?

  • STAY AWAY FROM THE DRUG PROPECIA!!!

I used this drug for 6-months back in 2000 and suffered PERMANENT SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION!

This nightmare has occurred to many other men as well. Some of whom have since committed SUICIDE!

Don't believe the study-numbers being "pushed" by Merck. Those bastards lied right through their fucking teeth.

If you have hairloss, just use an anti-dandruff shampoo and take high-dose saw-palmetto.

  • Ok, DHT, but why ppl bald only on top of the head? Anybody knows the answer? I think it's not only testosterone related. In my opinion it's also realted with blood vessels. We live in 21's century and people can't cure baldness :( that's sad

  • the regular amount of zinc is a known DHT blocker

  • You know some shampoo or smth, so i could start looking for it?

  • @fppgames

because the receptors on the hair follicle on the crown and front of the head are more sensetive to DHT in people with a genetic disposition to baldness. Thats why you can move a hair follicle from the side of your head to the balding top and it will continue to grow.

  • @orangedac yes, yes i know that they are more sensitive. I just don't know why. I think that it is someway connected with blood vessels, so if you for example exchange veins that supply crown with blood with those wich supply sides of the head you might get some good results. But i'm not a doctor, it's only my guess. Also sorry for my english, it's not very good. I'm bald - must get use to it :D

  • i started going bald @ 17 and I've been wearing a god damn hat ever since. I think God is playing a joke on us balding men or something :/

  • 16?!?

  • I started at 16 also. And yes, it does cause a lot of depression and anxiety. I guess we need to make the best of what we already have. But I still want my hair back damn it!!

  • can stress causes baldness?...for som reason, after one of our family member died, me my two brothers, and my dad start loosung hair?...is it genetic?...even though we have different age?

  • probably as a result of the stress u recieved from the death, it can trigger it and then it wont grow back if u have the gene

  • no, its all genetic . they found the gene that causes it and hopefulyl coming up with a cure so that millions of people dont have to suffer the ridicule of being bald ever again ....
