The 3 months comes in from route planning and prep. with a load that big you cannot just plough ahead and hope for the best. I've had my share of heavy and oversize loads and it is definitely not the easiest job in the world. Respect.

These tanks came by sea to Shapness Dock (between Gloucester and Bristol) The road journey from there took 2 days, with an overnight halt at Maisemore, just north of Gloucester.
