@angel328csi i know a shit load about mustangs. im 17, i drive a 2006 mustang GT convertible with mild bolt ons. dyno was 311 hp to the wheel, idk @ the crank tho. runs 12.7 at 114mph in the 1/4. i dont drive no damn mazda... that bimmer is lucky it wasn't a terminator cobra. Mustangs forever. plus when i lived in germany back in 99-03 my dad had a 2002 bmw 325i, it was slow as hell but could still hit 150mph.

dude my v6 accord almost took a GT. i was pretty impressed with my accord. my 3.5 v6 took down a 4.6 v8 mustang ( it was convertible so it was heavier). We were about dead even.
#1 The seats would either be 2 tone BLACK and RED leather (annivesery edition I believe) OR it would have been 2 tone Black and grey (Leather & Faux Suede).
#2 ... There is no supercharger. THe stock eaton blower on the cobras (which they had in 03/04 stock) is VERY audible on a stock car. There is no whine in this video, no supercharger.
Further more, I suspect thats just a 330 with gashes and decals, but nice try :D
#1, a bone stock non-SC cobra is 320hp, and the m3 is rated at 333hp. The cobra would not pull on a m3 like this.
#2, ANY 3-series BMW can get the "side grille" (They're vents, btw), it is a VERY cheap and easy modification. In fact, you can get them for Chryslers, Toyotas, Nissans, Fords, Mercedes etc... They all have available aftermarket grills.

I drive an M3, and I love Mustangs for what they are. M3's aren't drag racers, there's a lot more depth to the car than straight line acceleration per dollar.

That model M3 will perform around the same as a C5 Corvette. They are both 175 mile an hour cars, they both run the quarter in low 13's and they both have a zero to 60 time of around 4.7 seconds. The Vette's a little faster but what you are asking us to believe is that you would kill a M3/Corvette that easy.
I didn't say anything about a Z06. Just said a stock C5 is = 2001 to present M3. I'd give the edge to the Vette. A stock C5 ZO6 should probably run mid to low 12's, the C6 ZO6 is a 11 second car. For your car to pull on a car that can run low 13's, you would have to have something equivalent to a new ZO6.
I'm not saying the M3 is the fastest car out there, I'm just being real. If you beat the M3 like that, your car must be running in the 11's. There's not many cars at any price that can do that. You would on par with the Ferrari F40 and Lamborghini Gallardo, which costs way more than 60k.
When it comes down to it somebody can spend 2k on a crappy Honda and make it fast enough to run with a car costing over 100 grand or do what some BMW fanatics do, buy a 2001 M3 with high miles and turbocharge it. They will have 500+ hp car for around 30k. Assuming 20k for the car and 10k for the turbo kit. That would drop the car down in to your performance territory. Even though it would still cost a little more.

Cobra only had IRS, different fog lights, emblems.... maybe a few other minor things, 02 Ford tok a break from the 32V picture, in 03- 04 the MAch 1 and Cobra again same engine, same idfferences, only a Cobra came supercharged with a heaton s/c...

AS far as an M5 having 507 HP... LArge and heavy.... actually a saleen s7 is an american built car and if you look in any car magazine with the saleen in it you'll see that is american made. and the z06 has a top speed of 202 and wait till its supercharged with 650 hp, o yea and for american made car you also got the mosler mt900s which goes from 0-60 in 3.1 sec and it's quarter mile is 11 sec flat at 135 mph so yes there are american cars that can easily beat a german or italian or any type of european car

If he changed the Exhaust and put a Smaller Supercharger pulley on his cobra with a little ECU tuning for the extra boost, he'll be cruising in the upper 500's In Horsepower. And he would have done it all for less then 42 grand, wheres an OVERPRICED M3 & M5 require even more expensive mods to keep up with a 35 thousand dollar Mustang. So sad.

500 to the fly, how so when a supercharger gives you a 60- 75% boost of HP if installed properly? The car has 320 HP to the fly stock.... Let's just go with 60%, that is 192 HP (320HPx0.6=192 HP)+ the original 320 HP= 512 HP to the fly... It WAS installed properly.... Fuel injector upgrade, PHP intake spacer, X Cal tuning and chip, supercharger install, headers, and exhaust (oh, btw, ='s more HP gain), intercooler (3 core).... I think 500 HP is a fair nuber to go with at the fly.

Mustangs forever. plus when i lived in germany back in 99-03 my dad had a 2002 bmw 325i, it was slow as hell but could still hit 150mph.

This Cobra isn't supercharged.
#1 The seats would either be 2 tone BLACK and RED leather (annivesery edition I believe) OR it would have been 2 tone Black and grey (Leather & Faux Suede).
#2 ... There is no supercharger. THe stock eaton blower on the cobras (which they had in 03/04 stock) is VERY audible on a stock car. There is no whine in this video, no supercharger.
Further more, I suspect thats just a 330 with gashes and decals, but nice try :D

#1, a bone stock non-SC cobra is 320hp, and the m3 is rated at 333hp. The cobra would not pull on a m3 like this.
#2, ANY 3-series BMW can get the "side grille" (They're vents, btw), it is a VERY cheap and easy modification. In fact, you can get them for Chryslers, Toyotas, Nissans, Fords, Mercedes etc... They all have available aftermarket grills.
Hence my comment "I suspect this is a 300 with gashes (the vents) and decals"

That model M3 will perform around the same as a C5 Corvette. They are both 175 mile an hour cars, they both run the quarter in low 13's and they both have a zero to 60 time of around 4.7 seconds. The Vette's a little faster but what you are asking us to believe is that you would kill a M3/Corvette that easy.

I didn't say anything about a Z06. Just said a stock C5 is = 2001 to present M3. I'd give the edge to the Vette. A stock C5 ZO6 should probably run mid to low 12's, the C6 ZO6 is a 11 second car. For your car to pull on a car that can run low 13's, you would have to have something equivalent to a new ZO6.

When it comes down to it somebody can spend 2k on a crappy Honda and make it fast enough to run with a car costing over 100 grand or do what some BMW fanatics do, buy a 2001 M3 with high miles and turbocharge it. They will have 500+ hp car for around 30k. Assuming 20k for the car and 10k for the turbo kit. That would drop the car down in to your performance territory. Even though it would still cost a little more.

Cobra only had IRS, different fog lights, emblems.... maybe a few other minor things, 02 Ford tok a break from the 32V picture, in 03- 04 the MAch 1 and Cobra again same engine, same idfferences, only a Cobra came supercharged with a heaton s/c...

AS far as an M5 having 507 HP... LArge and heavy.... Weight to power ratio still fucks it up for an M5.... dont get me wrong, fast cars... for the money they better be.... in fact for that amount, not fast enough (nor is the M3)... actually a saleen s7 is an american built car and if you look in any car magazine with the saleen in it you'll see that is american made. and the z06 has a top speed of 202 and wait till its supercharged with 650 hp, o yea and for american made car you also got the mosler mt900s which goes from 0-60 in 3.1 sec and it's quarter mile is 11 sec flat at 135 mph so yes there are american cars that can easily beat a german or italian or any type of european car

If he changed the Exhaust and put a Smaller Supercharger pulley on his cobra with a little ECU tuning for the extra boost, he'll be cruising in the upper 500's In Horsepower. And he would have done it all for less then 42 grand, wheres an OVERPRICED M3 & M5 require even more expensive mods to keep up with a 35 thousand dollar Mustang. So sad.

I agree German cars are fast even if low on HP, but they're lighter (expecially euro spec ones, US spec adds alot of weight in safty features)... But they cost ALOT more, for the money, US car is the way to go I think... German cars seem to be fast...even if they do not have much hp..take the 997-911S for example.
Still, that was pretty nice. I almost doubt if you have 500 hp, unless if you are talking about at the crank. I would say 450-460 rwhp is what you have. You also had a passenger, and the BMW didn't(makes a big difference in races).

500 to the fly, how so when a supercharger gives you a 60- 75% boost of HP if installed properly? The car has 320 HP to the fly stock.... Let's just go with 60%, that is 192 HP (320HPx0.6=192 HP)+ the original 320 HP= 512 HP to the fly... It WAS installed properly.... Fuel injector upgrade, PHP intake spacer, X Cal tuning and chip, supercharger install, headers, and exhaust (oh, btw, ='s more HP gain), intercooler (3 core).... I think 500 HP is a fair nuber to go with at the fly.

1999 Cobra, Supercharged, 42 pound fuel injection, tuned by SCT (chip) and X Calibrator,Bassani X pipe Exhaust system with Shorty headers and MAgnaflow Cat baks, PHP intake spacer, Swapped the T45 Tranny with a T3650, added a steeda tri ax shifter and an '03 Cobra clutch kit, Eibach Pro kit springs, Auto meter Fuel pressure and Boost gadges, Power slotted and cross drilled rotors, and some audio stuff.... an over all score of over 500 HP at the fly I believe (hasn't been dyno'ed)..
