That's basically the strategy I use, except I have Oscar with Boyd.

In RD using bonus exp aloud 3 stat boosts which annoys me I really wish it was like POR

its a good idea to give boyd a vulnerary and that elixer you got from the boat chapter from the house

this was unusually easy for me

not much of a spoiler but in RD the whole "you have control over like 2 useful units and 3 rubish units and you have to holdout against 52 units whilst having no control over 23 other units uhhhh by the way you have 3 uses of an antidote and there are 12 enemy reinforcements with venin swords and axes....for 30 turns...and at the last 5 turns you get a like 6 extra units to control who are a mile aways" chapter really pissed me off...the one with harr and elencia

@SuperSayianSquirtle oh endgame part 2 Elencias Gambit yah an easy way make harr a dragon lord (highest class) give him the best axe you have, Nihil , and if possible, adept wrath , or vantage and send him strait to ludvick kills him in 2 hits 1 turn victory it works NO JOKE

I playedthis level quite differently,

Firstly, i let ike go in all by himself where you put mia and ike (My ike was just owning, never took ANY damage at all, and i used mostly an iron sword, it worked great) I put oscar and soren where you put boyd (Soren at the time i leveled to a sage trough extra exp, let him use a staff) And titania, and mia on the one area.)

why does the enmy try to run off and heal they usally aren't that smart on most fire emblem games even the end

Huh. I never thought to use Boyd as a wall (due to that horrendously low defense of his). I always put Titania to the south (lost alot of exp for it), Oscar and Soren to the east, and Boyd/Mia/Ike to the west, with Rhys going to whoever needed healing.

This chapter was always the one that I could never get past. I got Path of Radiance for Christmas a few years back and I played it then and couldn't get past this chapter. A while later I completely restarted the game and played it through to this chapter again and still couldn't get past it. About a year or two later (which was about a month ago) I restarted the game again and now I'm on chapter 21 =) But yeah it took me about three years to get past this level XD on and off. Good times.

i was trying not to let anyone die on this level but when mia died the second time i had to say screw it and continue. i'm only on chapter 9 because i only recently got this game.

Hey, Just out of curiosity, did you play this on the Gamecube console, or the Wii?

both. Near the beginning I played it on the Wii, but later on I switched to the Gamecube

Why did you switch back to the gamecube? Was there a quality difference or anything like that?

I found it was easier accessible to me and I use my Wii a lot already for other games and the disc switching got a bit annoying after awhile.

What I did for this map was:

East side: Set Titania at the foot of the steps unarmed. Leave her alone unless she needs healing.

South: Oscar equiped with a Jalvien with Mia right behind him. Long range target Mia while Oscar starts on the Axe users.

East: Boyd(Hand Axe), Ike(Regal), Soren(Fire) damage the 2 Knights and 1 Archer(Boyd only). Then take out the Knights and Archer then contiue from there.

Other: Rhys is in the center healing anyone that needs it.

What I usually do it:

East: Ike (Steel Sword) Boyd (Iron Axe+Hand Axe) Rhys (Heal)

South: Oscar (Iron Lance+Javelin)

East: Titania (Unarmed) Soren (Wind/Fire)

This usually gets me through Hard Mode unscathed.

Boyd going commando on the southern units is quite badass. All in a day's work for the true "leader" of the Greil Mercenaries.
