The action in this episode might have been boring with these lame cash players like Harmetz, Shak, Trincher and Fergueson but it is one of Gabe's best. He and AJ have a few really funny exchanges, when the players are talking about Wild Turkey, and AJ claims that he knows Dan Rather and its favourite drink. Gabe comments (from 22:15 to 22:32) that Dan Harmetz was being excessively conservative by folding his nut flush draw. In truth, it was a borderline decision. If Dan figures Illya Trincher to have trip nines (which he in fact did) then the 5 of diamonds would give Trincher a full house. Also, either Illya had a diamond kicker, as here, or a diamond on the river might pair his kicker, so there goes another out. With 7 outs, Dan was more than a 5:1 dog, but he was getting pot odds of only 7:2.

4 way action when the hand started with 3100$ in the pot with everybody checking the flop.trincher might have easily made a full house when that 9 hit(9-7 or 9-5).im sure harmetz did not want any part of that hand because he only had a small investment in that pot and even he felt he was beeing bluffed cause trincher had the big blind so he could have had anything, in my opinion harmetz wanted a better spot to put his money in.

You are absolutely correct. The negative implied odds for Dan Harmetz were quite high in that spot. Illya Trincher had gotten a free play from the big blind and could have any two cards. If Trincher already had a full house (with 9-7 or 9-5 in the hole), than Dan would have been drawing dead. In that case, he figured to lose a bunch of money if his diamond flush came in. And if Trincher were only bluffing, then even if Dan did make his flush on the river, he would not get paid off.
