Oh my god, i don't even really know where to begin. But lets start here; none of the major news networks can be called "liberal" because they're all owned by conservatives! and yes every one of them is biased in exactly the same ways, there are 5 factors that affect the news content coming out of any of them as i'm sure many of you know, they are: Size and ownership of meda; advertising dollars affecting content; the limitation of reliable news sources; "flack"; and the anticommunism filters.

Fox News is biased.

So is MSNBC. So is CNN. So are all the networks. That Fox sides with Republicans more often than not does not make them more biased than MSNBC, and in many cases they are better.

If you are looking for an unbiased news organization, you will be unsuccessful. The best we can hope for is diversity of opinion, even if journalists should strive to free their reports from personal opinion.

As things stand, without Fox News, there are a number of stories we'd be missing.

Hannity o'reilly beck, tucker fox and friends Cavuto, and the rest of them. The best way to show propaganda to people and make them believe it is to hide it under the banner of news.

Exactly. That is just what they do at NBC and MSNBC. Really though, the fact is that this is a threat to all news sources. Richard Nixon could have stayed in office if he had employed these tactics like Obama is trying to do.

But MSNBC doesn't seem to lie. Fox just gets away with it, they create and rally rightwing protests just so they can cover them then lie about other news channels not covering them. They misinform people to such a degree that people actually form political ideologies on lies. like people believing in death panels or obama the muslim or wmd's in iraq or obama's racist and gonna take your guns. MSNBC doesn't do any of those things so there is really no comparison. Nixon is irrelevant.

Fox News is like a voice in the wilderness, telling the truth, but the left and the liberal progressives don't want to accept it.

i don't believe he is taking away freedom of speech or destroying fox news, they are saying Fox news is not a true news station, nothing else. they aren't threatening to shut down fox news because that would be wrong by all stand points whether or not you agree with fox news.

I think the white house didn't need to pick that fight, fox news has never been news always been PR to the conservatives, but its viewers are too stupid and brainwashed to realize it... they don't vote at all for obama to begin with. Murdoch has a well known agenda and has hired its minions. Get real news people (mix bbc, france24, NYTimes or other foreign newspapers). The US news networks are all bad (Fox though is the worste by far)

I love the point that Tucker Carlson was making. These people that lie for a living, politicians and their minions, have no room making such a charge. Don't forget that Obama and Biden are both liars, I mean lawyers, to begin with. Some of my friends say, "All politicians lie." Are we to the point we have just given up?  Fox's biggest sin in the White House's view is that Fox has the gull to be honest, as Tucker said, going against the cult of personality built up around Obama.

The best aspect of this is that a large percentage of the Fox viewers are Democrats and Independents. Much of the White House's voting base knows the truth about Fox actually delivering the news, except that it is news that is not shining a good light on Obama's doctrine. So, that voting base, that watches Fox, just witnessed another big blow to the White House's credibility. Just another obvious lie from them. I think even Liberals don't like their intelligence insulted.

I am glad the government is going after Fox. Now we will find out where all the dead bodies are buried. I don't care for Fox News, but think of the damage they can inflect on the crooks in the White House, past and present.

Maybe we will get some real news out of this battle.
