This test is unrealistic, bullets don't hit katanas in real situations. and projectiles are mainly made out of heavy but prety soft metal. However bullets aren't meant to be reused, So its okay if a katana can slice one bullet half. The gun still has more ammo left to be fired. And as seen in the other video the katana will break after multiple bullet hits.

Besides we have better weapons nowdays. Only a complete retard would go into a gunfight with a freaking sword.

well bullets require a hefty metal to obtain the desired velocity and accuracy. Most stronger metals tend to be light, like titanium is really light, but insanely strong so it wouldn't be ideal for a bullet. Steel is median weight, but is quite strong. Maybe if you had like depleted uranium tipped ap rounds, you might break the sword after one or two consecutive shots, but really the shape of the bullet really leaves it at a disadvantage because heavy metals tend to be somewhat soft.
