You know what, I enjoyed the music off the first album more than RATM, and the vocals... oh god Cornell is one of my greatests... but the second and third albums weren't... I don't know... they were too "Chris Cornell" and less "Old RATM musicians"... you know? First audioslave album was the perfect mix of both and was probably the only album I listened to for a year straight.

One of the big reason was that Chris thought he should get more because he wrote and sung, even though they all wrote and played their own parts also.

Morello didnt thing audioslave was political enough.

Timmy C. like Audioslave more, because he was settling in and said in an interview "He was tired of the "@#$% YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME" and liked the slowness option of audioslave.

They all has there reasons and preferences,

The money break up story is not true. It got started as a rumour in a music magazine.

Basically they were trying to stick shit on Cornell. If Cornell had really been in it for the money than why did he break up a multiplatinum band? Moreover I'm pretty sure beteween Audioslave, SG and TOTD chris has made his millions.

Look at the sales figures for his solo shit. He is certainly not doing it for the money.

Cornell would be making shitloads if AS was still together. I have no reason to doubt him when he says they just weren't getting along.

The band isn't declared to be broken up yet. Cornell has left, permanently. Tom, Brad and Tim are actually still members. I'm not sure what will happen to the band. Hopefully we'll see Audioslave again in the future. Until then, R.I.P Audioslave.
