  • It's Mater!

  • You don't have to have a southern accent to be a redneck...there are plenty of rednecks in the Midwest too.

  • Wow! He's just a normal person, like you and me!

  • @SportsFan0520 no youre dumb hes a fagot

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, I have so much more respect for him (Larry the Cable Guy/Dan Whitney) after watching this!

  • Cars.

  • I agree 100% with Larry the Cable guy

  • larry is the man

  • He has a point people are insulted by everything. I am a christian , ands almost full blooded Native American, people constantly insult christianity, on television, such as in the show "family guy" , and radio shows like"Neil Bortz" . People also refer to Native American as "Indians" my point is people need to harden up stop being whiney candy butts. If something offends you change the scenery ,station, or whatever, don't expect it to bend for you.

  • @number123172

so am i and lol when peter said "christians dont believe in gravity"

  • GAYCARE CENTER LMFAO

  • @649832l1 Ahahahaha

  • hes not talented....just popular and lucky as all hell........he sure is funny when he talks about poo.....which is all the time

  • @ all the people on here that says that he isnt a redneck, your fucking stupid I live 30 miles south of where he was born and raised in nebraska. If Pawnee City isnt redneck/hick then there isnt a town in america that isnt redneck/hick. He was born and raised to hunt, fish, farm and drink. The midwest is better than the south anyway.

  • Did you even see his stand up before he took on the Larry character?

It's a character he performs as, anyone that can relate to him should be extremely insulted. Larry the Cable is Daniel Whitney's critique of southern culture; and he obviously doesn't have a very positive image of the south.

  • this guy's not even a redneck...

  • I agree with Larry the Cable Guy about Don Imus. He's just been doing the same thing, and if you don't like him, don't listen. He's right about America being a day care center, and quite frankly, I'm becoming embarrassed to live here. But, that's just my opinion.

  • and he's still got more success than you can dream of.

  • yeah because he appeals to a dumb redneck audience that actually thinks he's a true redneck, saying jokes such as "i don't have a blackberry i have a dingleberry" and the audience goes nuts! i mean wtf?

  • Okay, you can think what you want, it's your opinion.

  • I hate the snobbery that comes to Idiot comedians when success finally finds them. Especially when it comes from a Fool or Jester like Rosie O'Donald or Whoopie Goldberg or their ilk. I have never ever heard Jeff Foxworthy or Larry or Bill or any of these "Rednecked Comedians" try to tell someone else how to vote or think even though they are now making money! If I wanted their "World View" I should think they'd say it in their routine. Is it Laugh Clown Laugh? Nah, I pays ya to make me laugh!

  • wow i like his real voice better than his Larry voice. he's just a normal guy from Nebraska.

  • america is becoming a daycare center... awesome quote... i'm stealing it.

  • I like Larry The Cable Guy and Steve Martin. Great comics. Funny goofy guys that are just funny. And I used to watch Don Imus on MSNBC a lot in the morning and I became a fan of the other guys at MSNBC that way. I hope someday I get to work at that network.

  • well, it works, larry just really likes doing standup, and it is a tough business to stay in a long time. he is a guy who made it big, and i do mean really big... i hope he never changes and by the way, he loves this country and his fans.

  • he never changes? i find this comment amuseing, seeing as how hes not a red- neck at all.

  • How do you know he's not a redneck? Do you know him personally? I think he's alot closer to his character than people think. I think that's why he does it so well.

  • he rocks for this

  • pretty cool to hear his real voice.

  • Its interesting to see is real life accent

It really isnt too different from the persona accent, only big difference is his dialect

    but why the clothes?

if he will talk as himself whys he still wearing the redneck shit.

honestly i think he could do the same jokes and be just as popular without the redneck shtick.

    - but anyone who hates on him for his 'fake' character ,STFU. 90% of all celebrities dont use their real names.

  • Yeah, seriously, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry the cable guy, are all rednecks, how can i tell? Because I was born and lived in Georgia, i moved away and live in California now, but I go back to both Alabama and Georgia more times a year than I can count. I am among rednecks all of the time, while I don't consider myself to be one, I certainly know one when i see one, especially because both my cousins, my aunt, uncle, and grandfather are all rednecks

  • No, larrys a fake, hes acting, thats a character that he made up...the rest are all real southern boys .....

  • if u dont like phony comedians then u should look up bill hicks that guy was very genuine he spoke form the heart

  • dude I fucking love Bill Hicks, have you heard Life is a ride or Arizona Bay

His message will always live on

  • i dont understand do his fans realize hes playing a character or do they think hes legit btw i dont thinks hes very funny in character but he probaly is in person he just dumbs himself down to appeal to his brain dead redneck fans who are also dimwitted enought to believe he is one of them even though hes probaly a very intelligent guy

  • he is very intelligent.. but most of his jokes actually happened.. most of the drunk ones come when hes around ron white. he really lives like a country guy

  • Larry is dead on accurate. People need to stop bitching about stupid shit...don't like what you see? Change the station.

  • wow shut up hes an actor.if you could make millions by talking in an accent would you do it?hes a smart and funny dude stop bitching everyone else is just as fake as him

  • I never knew that he had a stage persona until this video actually....Also I heard he's from Nebraska...CORRNNNN!! jk :D seriously though

  • He is absolutely right. We are such weenies. If you are offended by something, GET OVER IT!

  • A total fraud? It's an act...a persona. Do you think the comedian Emo Phillips walks around in his persona all day? The "Larry" act is really quite brilliant, regardless of what you think of the act. Do you know how difficult it is to think of something like that and pull it off? So what if he had a pre-redneck video. Ever see any video of Alanis Morrisette in her pre-fame days? She created a persona and style musically, Larry did in comedically.

  • he's right, he's got my vote

  • I'm not a big fan of his comedy...but calling him a fraud is kind of silly. He's portraying a character. Do you think Paul Reubens, Rodney Dangerfield, Andrew Dice Clay and Bob Goldthwaite all acted like their stage personas when not performing?

  • Larry is right and wrong...

people, some especially (Al Sharpton, that bastard), overreacted -- even though it was a bit racist...

Complete jerk offs that overreact that hard.. Larry's got a damn good point.

  • Big phoney. He does not speak like that.

It's all an act. If you think he's really like that, you are stupid.

  • I can't stand him either but the thing is aren't all comedians phoney then? they all make stuff up. It's JOKES!

  • I agree that it wasn't a good Idea for Imus to say what he did, but had it been a black talkshow host saying something like those white skin heads or crackers, nothing would have been done, It personally would not even offend me, it's not like he said the N word or something.

  • Anti-intellectualism is cool, people. Get Her Done.

  • hahahahahaha YEAH!

  • There's a difference between pushing the envelope and being racist.

  • He's really not an idiot, he's speaking for the tougher side that America needs to show. Funny is funny and sometimes peoples' feelings get hurt. I love how the country accent phases out over the show lol

  • how, hes right

  • He is so right. The guy is brilliant and humble. That is awesome.

  • Humble i'll give to you. He makes his point without shouting which is a rarity on cable news shows. But brilliant, um, can't go that far.

  • Dan Whitney steps out of character for a few and tells it like it really is.

  • He's a rich Idiot, all the way to the bank.

    Get r done

  • Who's the idiot? Him for coming up with something like Get R Done? Or the people who go out and buy stuff with Get R Done stamped on it? Or YOU for not coming up with it first?

  • rich yea

    idiot.....no

  • how, hes right

  • im black and i dont think he should have got fired!!

  • I'd like to see more of Daniel Whitney out of character

  • It's cool to see his real personality show here. This is actually a rarity.

  • hes still in character, he doesnt have an accent like that.

  • Then he's GOOD at pretending. do u know of any tv appearance of him as himself?

  • youtube dan whitney, thats his real name.

  • thats not 100% correct.. i had moved into a area with a completely diffrent accent then where im from which is baltimore so im a city boy and i came back sounding like someone whos been down south all there life took for ever to rid of that ~.~

  • Amen! Don Imus has been controvesial for YEARS. Yet that one remark, among many un-PC ones, makes headlines.

  • Some seem to believe Media Matters was out to get Imus for his characterization of Hlllary Clinton as Satan. Hillary claims to be one of the founders of Media Matters.

Is Hillary Satan? Learn what you can about her, then make an informed choice for president.

  • lol wut?

  • Leave it to Media Matters and other liberal hack organizations to squelch freedom of speech.

  • Larry The Cable Guy, Don Imus and Howard Stern. So many times those 3 guys made me laugh so hard I thought I would suffocate.

I don't know if Donny Deutsh will never make the money in a year that Imus makes. He's

    pretty successful as a marketer.

One thing's for certain though. He will never have the influence of Imus.

  • Imus' new five-year pact with Citadel Broadcasting reportedly will pay him $5 million to $8 million a year, a drop from his $10 million yearly salary at CBS.

In 2000, Donny Deutsch sold his agency Deutsch Inc. to the Interpublic Group(IPG) for a reported $265 million.

If Donny had half of that invested with someone such as Warren Buffet (averaged 25% return/year for the last 50 years) his money would be earning in the ballpark of $33 million each year.

  • Imus has been an enormously successful broadcaster for a long time. He has done some goofy things but has also used his fame to do some impressive philanthropic work. He has been and hopefully will continue to be an enormously influential figure.

I didn't look up the particulars of Mr. Deutsh. I know he had been quite successful prior to selling his business.

Who's net worth is greater, Imus or Deutsch? I don't know and I don't think it matters here.

  • your a son of a bitch!!!

  • Donny Deutsch is a douche bag. He likes Howard Stern, but believes Imus got what he deserved. Sorry Donny. Imus is coming back and you will never make the bucks Imus makes in a year in your life time. What a Joke. Just love Larry the Cable Guy.
