But I have researched the Mormon Church and would like to ask any Mormon to please clarify the "Meadow Mountain Massacre" in the 1800's where hundreds of Roman Catholics were killed by Mormons .. The missionaries don't know the truth themselves. They are not part of the cover-up and should not be blamed. You can come across missionaries who don't know about the fall of the Book of Abraham for example. Where is the love in sending out these missionaries having withheld information from them? I think it's very cruel. People can find out this stuff on the net and know more than the mormons do.

I was never strong enough emotionally to handle a mission anyway. I had the testimony and still do, but take someone who is not phsychologically fit and couple that with three latently homosexual companions (at least one actually came out officially) and you got a ruined mission, in my book. Maybe I am homophobic, got others issues to, but I just wish the Church would give physch evaluations to all potential missionaries. Doing so would also protect the Church from Elders wreaking havoc.

I get so mad at liars like Joseph Smith Jr. and Charles Taze Russell, the blood of these young men is all over there hands. For the truth about mormonism please read "Mormonism Shadow or Reality" by Jerald and Sandra Tanner. Leaving mormonism was a slow process. Sandra realised her great great grandfather Brigham Young was not a prophet after reading his sermons. Two years later she abandoned the B.O.M. after reading M.T. Lamb's The Golden Bible.

The missionaries don't know the truth themselves. They are not part of the cover-up and should not be blamed. You can come across missionaries who don't know about the fall of the Book of Abraham for example. Where is the love in sending out these missionaries having withheld information from them? I think it's very cruel. People can find out this stuff on the net and know more than the mormons do.

I hate to tell you this but if you think there is some cover up you are misinformed. And the missionaries don't have information withheld from them. And to be honest I have no idea what your talking about when you say the fall of the Book of Abraham or where you get your information. The problem with getting information from the internet is that a lot of times it is not true. Anyone can write anything on the net, including a bunch of lies out of spite or for whatever reason.

The fact that you have no idea about the fall of the Book of Abraham shows that the information has been withheld from you. A good book on the subject is "By His Own Hand On Papyrus" by Charles M Larson. Something to watch: "The Lost Book of Abraham." Of course a lot of times information from the net is not true.Sometimes it is. Read and watch these and Judge for yourself.

I was never strong enough emotionally to handle a mission anyway. I had the testimony and still do, but take someone who is not phsychologically fit and couple that with three latently homosexual companions (at least one actually came out officially) and you got a ruined mission, in my book. Maybe I am homophobic, got others issues to, but I just wish the Church would give physch evaluations to all potential missionaries. Doing so would also protect the Church from Elders wreaking havoc.
