A baby for a 15 year old is often a punishment. Few children born to teenage mothers end up having a good upbrining because the mother rarely is able to pursue an education. Often the father is not there as well.

When did doing something wrong come without punishment? And a baby is not a punishment. A baby is a blessing and a miracle from God. If a teenage girl is mature enough to engage in sexual activity, then she needs to be mature enough to take care of a baby. If a teenage girl is mature enough to engage in sexual activity, then she needs to be mature enough to take care of a baby. Unprotected sex comes with responsibilities and if you don't want the responsibilities then don't have sex. Parents need to stop giving their children ways to get out of things and start making them take responsibility for their actions.

1) Natal testing reveals the fetus has numerous, debilitating health defects, and if not still-born, will lead a horrible and short life. Should the mother have a right to choose?
2) The fetus is developing outside the womb. The mother will die if not aborted. Should she have the right to choose?
If it's not a religious issue for you, what do you say about the mother's rights?

Obviously it is a little grey, and rarely is anything ever completely black and white. Since I am liberal, I think the mother should have the right to choose her life over a faulty freak of nature pregnancy that will kill her. If not, then they both die, what sense does that make? But that is clearly not the same as a normal pregnancy and a foolish girl wanting to erase the "mistake" Poof. What do you say about the baby's rights? They have none, in your eyes, it seems. And

- women who want abortions will still have abortions. But instead of a safe procedure, will use a coat hanger. That's just a cold fact. So yes - legalized abortions help the would-be mother.
- Around a quarter of abortions are performed because the mother's life is in grave danger; or the fetus has a list of deformities.
Anti-abortion may be "ethical", but it's short-sighted, ignorant of reality, wishful thinking -and is a waste of time.

@TheHigherVoltage Why would abortion be unethical to begin w/? If the fetus isn't human, then there is no issue- abortion is like getting a tooth pulled. But if that fetus (Latin:small child) is indeed a human person, then under no circumstances do we have the right to abort that life.
It would be absurd to claim that the same 42 million women a yr would commit coathanger abortions. -That wouldn't justify the legalization anyway. Rape occurs either way -would you suggest we legalize that too?
