what an amazing voice. too bad shelley winters is no longer with us. she was such a wonderful actress. she had amazing presence. for such a small role on this show, she made it memorable. if you haven't seen her in "lolita" or "diary of anne frank", then you must!!

@bluestate69 Wow, I didn't realize she was in Lolita. I did see her in 'A Patch of Blue' and she was remarkable. You know it's sort of funny, when I was much younger watching Roseanne, I always wondered if she was in those older films (because of the quality of her voice). I'll definitely check out Anne Frank, thanks for the suggestion!

@leavingnormal88 yes, her voice is/was very distinct. pretty keen of you to pick up on that at a young age. however, that wonderful voice is very whiny in "lolita"(the part demands that). i think she won for best supporting actress in "patch of blue".

Holy Moley! I've always loved this series and I adore John Goodman! When I watched Bonnie sing for the 1st time my heart stopped a beat, I fell in love with her and the song. Back then we didn't have a computer so I never searched for her. Never forgot this moment and every once in a while I caught myself trying to sing it with such passion ;-) Thank God today I finally checked it out and here it is! So thank you for posting 'cause now I know more about this fabulous singer!

i love her voice, she sounds similar to janis Joplin except bonnie isn't someone u really see in the media. Its ashame that someone with such a great voice isn't acknowlegde i heard one of her CD and i didn't really like it because i think her voice has more potential.If anyone can recomend which one of her CD's is good.

I remember this first time I ever saw this episode. Got to this part, and when Bonnie started to sing, I remember thinking, "Holy shit! What a voice!" My jaw just dropped, and stayed that way, until she finished the song. I was def surprised. : )

Seriously what an amazing voice. I have to say the same as a previous comment, watched Idol last night and I love this song, always had.. I remember watching this Roseanne episode and loving her voice! Now I know who she is, what 20 years later haha. I'm 30 now and some of this stuff is classic and brings back great memories. I saw this episode for the first time when I was 11 years old (always loved Roseanne!) and her voice never left me. Now, 20 years later, this episode was on again recently and I looked forward to Bonnie's moment the whole time. So powerful.

she sang the hell outta that song... i was a little kid and this eppy was still so clear in my mind. i watched American Idol today and one of the contestants sang "You Really Got A Hold On Me" and it made me seek out this version. Bonnie's voice is phenomenal!!!and i'd forgotten Chief Webber from Grey's Anatomy was on this show. thanks for posting this.
