i am so pissed off right now! i loved the music on this game but i always borrowed it from a friend, i never knew it came with an ost cd if i did i would have got it myself
so this was on that free CD that came with the game? ok, well I have it again now and I can finally put that to rest. was it just the 6 tracks done by Roadkill, or was it the entire comix zone soundtrack?
I never could figure out if it was 'Joyride in the slamming hood' or 'draw a line in the smiling hood'. Given what the games about... I'm just going to assume the latter. :)
Howard Drossin is such a gifted genius that I owe so much to him in inspiring what I am today in life, Comix Zone undoubtedly one of best platformer I had ever played in my life, design and conceptually it is just a match made in heaven.
Thanks @mechatails for sharing this, this really put a smile back to my face, I remembered I was like 12 when I first played this game, ROCK ON HOWARD!
Dude, was just playing this game and listened to the "jukebox". Even in 16-bit with all of the crappy midi, I could tell there was something different about the music... and I said, "wait a minute...this is $!@#ing grunge!!" And then I find out there's a whole soundtrack of this stuff? YEAHH!!! Flippin' sweet. '95 was the time, man.
@zerosoma33 LOL, I was just thinking the same! I was suprised that the game's soundtrack was based off a 90's rock band. Who would of thought? I played this game on the PSP, so I didn't revieve any CD copy of these soundtracks. I heard people revieved them when purchasing this game years ago.
@GandalfJugon yeah, probably... i searched about them once, and the only thing i found was that they performed these songs live once. And the only one i have heard the name is the singer, Howard Drossin if i'm not mistaken
So annoying! i swear I got a free cd with this megadrive game years ago that had loads of tracks on it. Lost in the depths of my room somewher...forever.
Man this music is the song that plays in the first stage when u get in the sewer with the green twins, man this rock! Comix zone has one of the best combat system i`ve seen on a videogame, like so much the High Low kick combos!
You can find pictures of the guy on Google Image. He kind of looks like my dad. What's odd is that he seems very familliar to me by putting his voice and face together. I feel as though i have seen him before, anyone know of any documentory with him in it?
This is sung by Howard Drossin, the composer of the game and also the voice of sketch, can tell by the voice comparison to Sketch. His voice is a hell of a lot clearer than the other singer.
I'm so glad you put this up I doubt people even remember this I remember I was rock'n out to this at school and nobody knew who it was this brings me back to that alternative era for sure.
FUCK YEAH MAN!!! DOWNLOADING FUCKING NOW!!

The game's sound is just as good as the game's gameplay and graphics.

@Spartahunter9000 you got it wrong. this band's songs are the ones that were based on the game's soundtrack

@gamer5007 Ohh thanks! Just wondering!
Spartahunter9000 3 months ago
@gamer5007 In fact, I think this is not a real band, only some hired men to sing game's soundtrack
