@sufka28 The games do use bluray, dipshit. A single bluray disc (which is what the ps3 discs are) can hold around 50gs of data, while a regular dvd, which the xbox uses, holds around 8g. Meaning devs have to shrink their games for multiplatform, or, (points to FF13) split the 360 version into several discs and downgrade the graphics.

@dolanjacobs yes, they made ps3 more advanced, but theres no good exclusive games. also a lot of games like for example red dead redemption has a lot of problems and graphical errors on ps3 (read it on multiple websites w/ comparison)
also the online is terrible (common sence + everyone who has both consoles)

@Alfianze erm, i play on 1250p on my xbox on my custom built screen, yes 1250 and it can go higher, its all about preference, xbox has a larger online community and has a better quality internet service, on my ps3, i lag out 1/3 games on cod, and i think i do maybe once a week on xbox.
still, it's preference, neither console is better, as there are no rules saying what is better and what is not.

You know when it comes down to it knakk10. It's about preference. PS3 has ok online not the greatest experience for gamers. As for the 360 most of it has to do with the online community. If you want a serious but boring community PSN is for you but if you want obnoxious 12-20+ year old children then 360 is for you. If you have the money to buy accesories then 360 if not PS3 built in wi fi.

ok, ps3 will eventually take over. it has the hardware advantage. however, due to the fact that xbox rushed its release, it has (so far) a higher number of consoles sold, and a arguably better online experience. i have a xbox, and a ps3, bother are very nice. The only thing xbox has on the ps3 is the initial sales, and was cheaper, which is changing because ps3 prices have dropped significantly. soo yea. ps3 will overrun.
Ok, here is the overall judgment call you need to make.
If you don't mind spending $50 a year for online and if alot of your friends want to play online with you on the 360 AND YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM, then go for 360.
If you would much rather pay nothing for online and still get a decent experience along with Blu ray and (IMO) better exclusives, go with PS3.

I had an xbox 360 then it broke. it's terrible. when it's cold, you don't need a heater you can jsut play ur 360 ! it's very loud. it's breathing like its alive. paying for the online isn't worth it. which is the reason i am getting a ps3 this xmas. and well....the 360 is jsut.... ugly it looks old the ps3 looks so next gen.

@dolanjacobs yes, they made ps3 more advanced, but theres no good exclusive games. also a lot of games like for example red dead redemption has a lot of problems and graphical errors on ps3 (read it on multiple websites w/ comparison)
also the online is terrible (common sence + everyone who has both consoles)
so the only thing worth getting for it is internet browsing. which needs paying for anyway. (ps you dont need to pay for an xbl adapter, you can use a wire and and/or laptop) man im bored.

2) ethernet cables exist and 360 slim now has wi-fi.
3) barely makes a difference. apart from with a couple of things overall blu-ray is a decent novelty
4) both are capable of 1080p dumbass....
5.) bare minimum of service and shitty no-functional browser (seriously it's even worse than IE!!)
6.) fair enough subscription kind of sucks...
7.) Backwards compatibility.... yeah.... Playing your old games rather than having to buy an overpriced "HD collection

come on ps3 is bettter.. its blue ray, has bluetooth, has wireless built in, can handle 1080p resolution.. the xbox 360 can only play up to hd dvd, assitional fee for wireless antenna, can only play 720p.. no videos needed for comparison .. enough said peace..

@Alfianze erm, i play on 1250p on my xbox on my custom built screen, yes 1250 and it can go higher, its all about preference, xbox has a larger online community and has a better quality internet service, on my ps3, i lag out 1/3 games on cod, and i think i do maybe once a week on xbox.
still, it's preference, neither console is better, as there are no rules saying what is better and what is not.

You know when it comes down to it knakk10. It's about preference. PS3 has ok online not the greatest experience for gamers. As for the 360 most of it has to do with the online community. If you want a serious but boring community PSN is for you but if you want obnoxious 12-20+ year old children then 360 is for you. If you have the money to buy accesories then 360 if not PS3 built in wi fi.

ok, ps3 will eventually take over. it has the hardware advantage. however, due to the fact that xbox rushed its release, it has (so far) a higher number of consoles sold, and a arguably better online experience. i have a xbox, and a ps3, bother are very nice. The only thing xbox has on the ps3 is the initial sales, and was cheaper, which is changing because ps3 prices have dropped significantly. soo yea. ps3 will overrun.

Ok, here is the overall judgment call you need to make.
If you don't mind spending $50 a year for online and if alot of your friends want to play online with you on the 360 AND YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM, then go for 360.
If you would much rather pay nothing for online and still get a decent experience along with Blu ray and (IMO) better exclusives, go with PS3.

I had an xbox 360 then it broke. it's terrible. when it's cold, you don't need a heater you can jsut play ur 360 ! it's very loud. it's breathing like its alive. paying for the online isn't worth it. which is the reason i am getting a ps3 this xmas. and well....the 360 is jsut.... ugly it looks old the ps3 looks so next gen.
