@davidwatson1212 Don't need canines to eat insects especially soft bodied insects like termites which gorillas prefer. For that matter a lot of herbivores (even elephants) have been reported to feed on meat when push comes to shove.
Point is, presence of canines is not a primary indicator for eating habits. Evolution takes it course and at some point of time the gorilla's canines stopped serving the purpose of tearing into flesh.

i respect Dr. Naik but having canines doesn't mean we're designed to eat meat, horses have canines and they are herbivore, canines can be there for other reasons such as defense. Plants are living, but there is nowhere near enough scientific proof that they feel pain (they have no central nervous system, brain or paon receptors necessary to feel pain). Furthermore, vegetarians have a longer life expectancy than those who eat meat, this surely shows that Allah/Brahman designed us to be herbivore

It's scientific fact, vegetarians live longer than omnivores. More protein doesn't mean a longer life, as an excessive amount can be harmful. Also, if i were to take your argument about how every creature dies literally, how can your argue against cannibalism :S

Say, for example, if billions of humans stopped eating meat then the whole world will be overun by animals as i mentioned, after a couple of decades the animals will take over the human population further exacerbating the environmental problem. However the digestive systems on omnivores are clearly distinct from that of herbivores and carnivores. As Dr. Naik said, it is not mandatory to eat meat in Islam. Therefore if your compassion for animals is that outstanding, then being a vegetarian muslim is completely fine. However to say Allah DESIGNED us to be herbivores is scientifically not true.

@davidwatson1212 Don't need canines to eat insects especially soft bodied insects like termites which gorillas prefer. For that matter a lot of herbivores (even elephants) have been reported to feed on meat when push comes to shove.
Point is, presence of canines is not a primary indicator for eating habits. Evolution takes it course and at some point of time the gorilla's canines stopped serving the purpose of tearing into flesh.

what my consciences says eating habits evolved from whatever was available at nearest.in indian region veg was available since human race evolved and that came in habit and in scriptures. arabic countries or other parts of world eatables herbs or knowledge of eating were not that abundant (i think) hence they started eating meat and it became habit and came in scriptures. human started eating before any scripture, so whatever available they ate , they saw other animals and copied.

@TheSacch he explains this in his videos. Conversion from one religion to another will not help you in the long run. If you are on a particular path to achieve you ultimate goal, switching from one path to another is not going to make the journey any quicker. Instead you should stick to the path that has been assigned to you and find your way back home; to the Godhead.

i respect Dr. Naik but having canines doesn't mean we're designed to eat meat, horses have canines and they are herbivore, canines can be there for other reasons such as defense. Plants are living, but there is nowhere near enough scientific proof that they feel pain (they have no central nervous system, brain or paon receptors necessary to feel pain). Furthermore, vegetarians have a longer life expectancy than those who eat meat, this surely shows that Allah/Brahman designed us to be herbivore

@sunohluckyali I am trying to approach the argument from the scientific perspective, asking what is healthier, an omnivorous diet c.f. herbivorous. By looking at this, we can see what God/Allah/Brahma designed our bodies to intake.
It's scientific fact, vegetarians live longer than omnivores. More protein doesn't mean a longer life, as an excessive amount can be harmful. Also, if i were to take your argument about how every creature dies literally, how can your argue against cannibalism :S

Not does eating meat have devastating effects on human health, but it involves the mass murder of innocent, sentient, living animals, most of which are as intelligent as our own children. As well as this, not only is eating meat is one of the most wasteful processes, but the mass production of animals is destroying our environment. @punjabiveganvet89 Brother, i suggest you look into the reproduction rates of animals such as cow, goat, sheep etc, you'll be alarmed. They reproduce at a fast rate. Say, for example, if billions of humans stopped eating meat then the whole world will be overun by animals as i mentioned, after a couple of decades the animals will take over the human population further exacerbating the environmental problem. Hence, increasing more methane gas into the atmosphere, so here your logic fails. Peace,

Please state your references as in the western world people live longer due to a balanced diet consisting of flesh food, it is very important in your diet. It is the basis of a balanced diet. Things that we can eat, Goat,sheep,chicken and things were not, dogs and cats, and some extent we can care for them, and plants make us look quite foolish, they can love, hate and feel, there soo smart, they can work out out much light is coming from sun so for them to start growing. Lots of scientist proven they do, and we are humans, omnivores, we eat meat and veg:)

However the digestive systems on omnivores are clearly distinct from that of herbivores and carnivores. As Dr. Naik said, it is not mandatory to eat meat in Islam. Therefore if your compassion for animals is that outstanding, then being a vegetarian muslim is completely fine. However to say Allah DESIGNED us to be herbivores is scientifically not true.

and Allah (SWT) knows best He created systems for us that can witness the test of times. When humans were not civilized they were then too omnivorous they are now too omnivorous and they shall remain omnivorous. So Allah's laws remains constant unlike our laws that changes according to our (human) provisions. Regarding longevity, there are many studies almost every day that stats you can have longer life by eating this or having that or doing that sometimes.
