My friend and i were taking turns in gta4, when it was his turn he spawned a helicopter, flew up high, jump out to kill himself because his turn was too long on his way down he hit a building, then another, then hit a dumpster and got up. He only lost a little health.

the GTA 3 series was good....dont get me wrong, however i always got bored of them by the time i got to the second city/district.

GTA4 however had me addicted for a long time....I literally spent the first 4-5 days finishing the single player and then played the multiplayer for months.

what i loved the most was the police chase system instead of the random spawning of police vehicles everywhere from the ps2 games.

Sure enough this game is good, but there is way to many glitches and stupid shit in this game. Personally I think Red Dead Redemption or Jak 2 renegade are better open world games than this one. Thats just my personal opinion though.

GTA IV and GTA SA are hard to compare. SA is more like life, which is awesome, like you can't over eat, or you'll get to fat, but GTA IV is more like you can do whatever you want. I'd give them both a 9.8 out of 10.0.

Me and my friends still play this game till this day!!! I'v put in countless hours into this game on single player, and free roam in multilayer is IMO 10X better than anything a call of duty could shell out. GTA V is around the corner, and there are still many hidden mysteries and minor details of liberty city that are still being discovered! Sure it wasn't as expansive as San Andreas was, but you have to admit, you defiantly got a bang for your buck... if not more.

i wonder why he keeps saying GTA IV? he must say it once so that we know what he's talking about but from then its just supposed to be called IV, this ain't a GTA game! the GTA part of the title is just smacked on there for sales purposes! the game is amazing, but it doesn't have anything to do with core concept of GTA. only similarities is that the genre! the story is good, the MP and has only been done few times before is fun and the graphics are great, but its not a GTA game!

@Mr16thPrestige Rockstar Games is a wise company, game world is proceeding and you have to follow it. Look at Saints Row 3 for example, it's a fun game but it's cheap and shitty as hell. It's not a classic and it will never be a classic like GTA. GTA had to make this jump from being unserious fun to being more serious and realistic. Otherwise it'd be just like Saints Row, fun but nothing more.

@Mr16thPrestige I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I enjoy playing Saints' Row series too but my meaning is it can never be a classic game. It'll never get 9+ rating from big review sites, it's just a plain and forgetable fun. But GTA IV is a lot more than that, you need to be better than a just plain fun to be special in these days, that's why GTA turned to be a serious and realistic game. GTA is not supposed to be "good", it supposed to be amazing, that is expected from them and they did it.

@milban92 i don't think u read my comment properly. i never called IV bad. it is amazing, the story is great, the visuals are VERY strong, the gameplay is smooth and that kind of multiplayer has to my knowlegde only been done a few times before (IV's version takes the concept much further, making it relatively unique). i can definitely see IV being a MASSIVE sucess, and reviewers LOVING it. and i don't mind them making a serious game, what i mind is them calling it GTA.
