  • 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nice to see u can u subscribe newsletter at teresitangb@gmail.com

    Thanks Teresita Ng Burch

  • Dr Lamb sucked his own cock

  • Old, white folks doing tai chi. Ridiculous.

  • good day! Half of my body is paralyzed due to my heart disease. My heart is healed now but my body is still paralyzed for four years now. I have started attending a free Tai Chi lessons here on our place. How can tai chi improve my physical condition? Would you know of somebody who has the same condition as mine was healed by the use of Tai Chi? God bless you,

  • Dr. Lam's good. I just had lam for dinner..

  • Comment removed

  • Thumbs up if Coach from Survivor brought you here!!

  • Beats me how they can do this without laughing. Saw a bloke doing it on the beach once; i think one of the basic phyisical requirements must be a very thick skin.

  • I can see how it helps older people (ex: blood flow and stretching) and young children (ex: concentration), but what are the benefits for someone in between?

  • I've heard Tai Chi use to be a Martial Art. What happened?

  • @HeimdallTheFalcon Tai Chi can be used as a martial art. The movements are slow but if you use them for defense, it works too. Search for "Tai chi self defense demonstration".

  • I am quite CONFUSED. There are so many Tai Chi versions, origins and practices. I am doing Tai Chi and it is nothing like this. I am gaining core strength, muscular strength and my legs and arms are stronger. All of my muscle groups are stronger. I am also gaining better balance and coordination and finally, a calmness overwhelms me. But it is nothing like this. I am quite CONFUSED.

  • @MrRobertLillo What Tai Chi do you practice?

  • Why are they wearing sunglasses? haha

  • woohoo tai chi for health!

  • It's so frustratiing trying their moves and getting lost right at the start.....

  • Oh my God!

  • i like how its all old people lol

  • 非常适合初学者

  • I played a violent sport for many years and have suffered many injuries and have permanent joint pain. I do not use pain management medication and have difficulty exercising. I am thinking about using tai chi for conditioning. Do you believe it could also be helpful in controlling pain. I think I will ask my medical doctor but would like any information you or commentators may have.

  • tekken came in my mind, looked in yellow pages and found tai chi, so i thought i should do tai chi, cuz i used to do TKD

  • i just joined a tai chi class very close to here. Is this taoist tai chi? It looks different.

  • is this taoist tai chi? I dont want to mix up techiques or styles?

  • After doing Tai Chi for 12 weeks I am able to maintain an erection during a fight which I use my penis as a great defense weapon.

    Thanks Dr Paul

  • waterbending from Avatar the last airbender is based off Tai Chi :D

  • I just thought of Tai Chi as an excersize routine I could do and plan on asking my doctor about it next monday. I hope that through it not only will I be healthier, but also improve on my patience and balance. Although I have to ask, is Tai Chi good for if I don't have much space to work with (I have a small room)?

  • @fairydreamergirl

yes you can practice tai chi almost anywhere, i often do that during my flights around the world. I explain how to do that in my of my dvds

  • how to breathe during tai chi exercise......and where to perform taichi....

  • alah mak? u see what happned when u aged?

  • How does this compare with other styles of martial arts? I know and practise various styles but none of them are like this with the slow movements. I learn for defense not attack first and Tai chi was recomended to me because of that. Saying that I do have a slight temper (I'm a red head it happens) and do need to learn to calm down more.

  • Does Tai Chi have any connection with Taoism? I wold be interested to know that. I really like Taoism. I think the Chinese really have a wonderful insight into how to get though life, due to the long history of Chinese civilisation.

  • @IlRezzonico Tai Chi utilise the phylosophical understand of nature according to the ancient Taoism, and it is a wonderful art to help us understand life better - and to be healthier so that we have life to learn more about it. Dr Lam

  • @IlRezzonico Tai Chi IS Taoism. You become the Tao while performing and mastering the tai chi movements. It all represents balance, oneness, and mental stillness. Powerful stuff, they say tai chi masters can equip their bodies so well that some become immune to disease such as cancer and terminal illnesses, that's all folklore but it is one of the most powerful things you can do.

  • would someone like me who isnt able to balnce on my one side be able to do this?i'm scared of falling and yes i'm young but got alot of health problems and i really want to regain my balance back.i think its pretty cool how he explains how to do it bc it took me just looking at the person to figure out how its done.idk if that made sense but what if ur just doing this for balance do u need to buy the artitst one aswell?ty for your time.have a nice day. :)

  • He stop teaching in the late 80's.Since then he is never went back but in the years I was with him I learn a lot .Paul Lam is good from some people that went to him but he to far away for like 560klm

  • This one teacher in Sydney teacher Mak Po Sun was on of the students of the two sons of Yang Chen Fu.He was in Lane Cove and people lost him because no one wanted to learn the Yang original form he new the form inside out including sword, pole, sable, dagger, two man set fighting form ,da lu,push hands and Yang fast form .He was one of the Yang So Chung best student and favorite .When I went to I only paid $4 and got hours of learning from him but I practice long hours in the morning .

  • i hear this form of marital arts helps you control energy and feel it. some say they can control the energy around them.

  • @TheBeastmode122 you can

  • @djiin608 When you meet the "hardness" of the opponent with the softness of T'ai Chi, you transform the opponent's "hardness" into nothingness. You must remain internally reserved, you must possess "hardness" without expressing it. When you master sticking, adhering, connecting, and following, you progress from conscious movement to interpreting energy, to spiritual illumination and the realm of absolute transcendence. Once this is reached, you can move a thousand pounds with a mere ounce.

  • What if your left handed? Will it strengthen you right side, and help you become balanced?

  • 4 all you kids that r complaining that they r old foggies and quote"this type of Tai Chi is for old people", you are so wrong im embarrassed for you. the reason they people "Look " old is becuase they have been practising and doing tak chi from the time they were 4 or 5. tai chi is also a martial arts which you work yourself up to. sounds to me like you all want to be kick boxers and martial arts expers to show off to your mates. you have 2take it slowly, + it shows you how 2 learn balance 1st

  • I bought this. It's actually very good! :) I learned tai chi before but didn't want to go into 24 form...being a doctor and tai chi master, he gives excellent advice and warm-ups. Also doesn't blabber on about chinese philosophy on Qi !

  • @zairuku thanks for your feedback, it makes us very happy. A good instructional DVD took a great deal of work and much time from a good team! Dr Lam

  • @drpaullamtaichi this looks ridiculous, i feel i've come to the wrong place to unlock my inner power and learn how to fight and believe me i'm not a meathead looking to beat someone up because i believe i have a certain kind of ki energy and was told tai chi might be the answer but all i find is a bunch of old folk trying to get fit. i'm not attacking people who do tai chi, but i feel bewildered now as to what martial art harness that spiritual energy and become something more

  • @iceblade05 tai chi can be many things to many people. as a martial art it focuses at listening to the incoming force, yield, absorb incoming force and redirect. tai chi often attracts people who like peace and harmony. Tai chi is one of the most powerful exercise for health for people of any age. it is probably not for you but don't put older folk down - only the lucky ones get to become older. life experience helps to make a person more interesting. Dr Lam

  • @drpaullamtaichi and @iceblade05 I couldn't agree with you more Dr. Lam. I have noticed in life it's not about the fighting, it seems to be more about how you handle a situation, and deal with the actions you deal. I have been watching your videos on tai chi, and have been learning so much from you! I currently am training in Wing Chun, and believe that tai chi will help improve my martial art, and state of mind. Iceblade, learn to expand your knowledge of martial art

  • and only then will you understand what martial art is all about. Sure you can to be a simpleton, but do you have to slander a man that could easily render you, without a punch.

  • @iceblade05 thank you for sharing . We all have different motivations for doing what we do, no matter the outward form. It sounds like you need to search for an instructor, regardless of "style", who is in tune with the physical, the energetic, and the spiritual. The last one is the tricky part. Those "old folk" are probably in tune with and capable of using energies you are only vaguely aware of at this point in your development. Good luck! Grandmaster Chuck Blackburn: chuckblackburndotcom

  • @teachur will you people pls stop replying to my comment, i have news for you, recently i have looked up the PROPER tai chi martial arts i was searching for with decent results and that routine where you move about is actual a deadly take down at fast speed, which(lol) you won't find an old person in it for the fitness able pull off unless its your grandmother who happens to be really good.....perhaps a little too good... : /

  • sorry this type of tai chi is for old people. Tai Chi is supposed to be relaxing, but its also supposed to be a form of Martial Arts. These Old Codgers are treating it like yoga.

  • @FaidleyEthan

No martial art is for threatening and agressive purposes. They are for deense and to bring mind body and spirit together

  • @markjnorris Look up every single Martial Arts movie ever made except for the karate kid and then say that again. And besides, they can't fight anyone if they are going this slow. Relaxation is important but you need strength and stamina as well. Which is why My Tai Chi Master believes in full body workouts

  • @FaidleyEthan

No martial art is for threatening and agressive purposes. They are for defense and to bring mind body and spirit together

If you wanting a contact sport try boxing or wrestling. You been watching too much Hollywood and JCVD

  • @FaidleyEthan hahaha, as far as I know, a yoga master is much less likely to sprain a muscle in a fight than you are ;-.- all eastern practices are aimed to keep your body and mind in top condition from todler to OOOOLD age, not just wile you're young.

  • @DJBelbe well you don't know me and i am far above the average person in terms of flexibility, so haha to you. And furthermore, I haven't taken I liking to Yoga or this Non-Hardcore-version-of-Tai-Chi because of the overwhelming sissy booboo woman fan base - Women who partake in it just because their work and home life would be too stressfull without it. Men need real Martial Arts like Hardcore-Tai Chi, Judo, Fencing, Jujitsu, Capoera! Relaxing is good but total body workout is important for opt

  • @DJBelbe You're pretty good and making you needs everybody's needs? I know men who like Tai-Chi and other who freak out at the lack of action! they actually become more stressed by it, LOL! but to those men I would advise some hardcore draining exercise followed by a slo-mo one so they learn to train their minds and not just their freakin assses else they'll be thinkin with their balls for the rest of their days wich is sad once they wither with age shrink and there's nothin to replace them...

  • Hey is tai chi good for anger? I got anger problems not incredible hulk kind but i get angery easily n i want to get it under control

  • @madsquablz1 yes it is. good for relax and mental health

  • @madsquablz1 I'm not an expert but I think many of those "Eastern" practices, i.e. Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, are known for calming and relaxing you, but also helping you develop more control over your mind and body

  • I love the fact that this dude starts by quoting Chairman Mao.

  • I love the fact that this dude starts by quotiing Chairman Mao.

  • i was going to take lessons but everyone looks old

  • @CowLickCodeMonkey I'm 15 and come on if I went there I'd feel like such an outcast! I think I'll try a computor lesson in my room!

  • @BRFC4LYF1 lol i'm 15 too. i think i will do the same, practise behind closed doors

  • For those of you who don't believe in Taichi, you don't need to make any childish comments about it. Watch Taichi Master movie by Jet Li first.

  • Tai Chi is fake and gay, walking has gotta be healthier than this garbage. Normally I think the Orientals have us beat on alot of things, but this makes them seem weak.

  • I see by some comments made by young whipper snappers that they do not value

elder strength and fortitude. I say to them -know your body and mind and you will be able to withstand the trials and tribulations of life.

  • @spiritcatcher10 I agree.

  • @FredMayX2 Haha bingo!

  • How gay people express themselves in China... no one ever knew...

  • LOL WTF I THOUGHT TAI CHI IS FAKE AND GAY BUT WTF.. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS DAY HOW TO BE THROWN AWAY WITH THAT... I MISJUDGE THIS STYLE, I KNOW MILITARY SELF DEFENSE BUT WTF IS THIS STYLE IT IS POWERFUL LIKE DRAGON BALL Z

  • @obyndjd503 Basically, from a MARTIAL Tai Chi aspect, imagine regularly practicing a fighting drill, just in slow motion. Imagine having to, in that slow speed, make the movements fluid and graceful, nonetheless. Think about how much control you'd have over your balance, with time. How well you would know every muscle in your body. Now imagine what you could do to someone, if you were to speed all that up ; )

Tai Chi takes time to get good at, but when someone does, they become very powerful.

  • did you notice the water was moving when he was doing tai chi near the rive

  • TAI CHI CHUAN should be praticed by a student and a teacher in a room.

Not doing so wil lead to injury , a false sense of mastery and/or a lack of understanding of both the philosofy and the training requerd.

As wel as panic if you start feeling things you normaly don't.

As such this video should be banned.

  • great tai chi beginner video

  • what will happen if i continuously raise my chi ??...... i feel headache in my head when i raise chi to extreme .....

  • How long does is take to graduate from "Beginner"? those people are ridiculously old

  • @ahart09 haha

  • @ahart09 LMAO

your comment its really funny dude

  • @ahart09 Hate, and making fun of someone because of their age is something you will grow out of - Peace

  • @ahart09 lol

  • @ahart09 It is a journey of a thousand miles...

  • loll you can totally tell he is reading shyt from a script haha

  • i just discovered about tai chi recently and i just love it.where can i down load tai chi to my lap top?am 25yrs old from kenya

  • i just discovered about tai chi recently and i just love it.where can i down load tai chi to my lap top?am 25yrs old from kenya

  • i do not follow example,i make one

  • and I love the music^^

  • I love and enjoy practice Tai Chi . I 'm not 80 years old . i have a long journey and too many winters and summer to reach that glorious age. I wish be lucky and reach that age and still practice Tai Chi.

  • freak the fire nation! go water tribes!!!

  • Those folks look like they are kicking somebodys butt in slow motion!

  • @SerialKiller19036

    XD They are.

  • Wonder if im too old at 50 to start this stuff ?

  • where r the young people?

  • ahhahahahahhhhahhhaaaaa

  • Those old people look like ninjas.

  • playing the root?

  • it would look sooo much cooler if old people werent doing it

  • Can u even fight with taichi

  • @ThePIKASAUR yes, check tai chi vs ... There are combats, but only the "serious" Tai Chi, not this squishy health-old people stuff. Thai Chi is a peaceful art, which is why they don't flaunt it, but in the Thai Chi "serious" arts, they know how to self defend, and usually win.

  • i love asian culture

  • very informative, word.

  • A Megan Medical Magazine recommended health video- In Touch with your CHI

  • I'm going to learn the ways of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Hungar Kung Fu, Tai-Chi and Ba Gua Kung Fu.

  • it's hard to follow videos i find.. Unless you've done it once or twice. But this I think is helpful for the people who have.. as a way to remind them when they're still learning.

  • I went to a class for one night, I felt stupid and silly, it was kinda boring.

  • I luv it! It's a great stress reliever!!!=D

  • this is the reason why i stoped lifting heavy stuff in gym

  • i do tai chi

  • cant wait to start my class...im so excited

  • will it let me ffffly?

  • this is an infomercial, not what the title says.

  • Alright mother fuckers I came here to help my arthritis not read your comments about furry-ism.

  • @sodacan3 sorry if this sounds offensive

    ...but you're an idiot

  • @Council13 HAHA!LOL!

  • Tai chi is great I'm 16 and it just calms me this video is great for learners and also improves your self confidence and you will be more fit I now hav the abbs I never thought I would and all thanks to tai chi

  • @xorganizationxvx No mabey I didn't explain myself right, I understand to some extent that you think it's stupid and it's something I'am gonna have to get over.

It's just at my old high school I did Ti chi for a while and for the very few teenager's that went there, got the mikey takin' out of us ..left right and center -__- .I wish more that in these Ti Chi video's, they show the younger and older generneration togerther...So it promote's the fact it isn't boring and just for older people. :)

  • @WarriorOfTheHeavens +1 one with you there. People are so closed minded, especially when there's things out there that are SO much weirder and freaky than tai-chi...I would know i'm a scalie / furry XD ... but yeah, people not only need to embrace the new and adapting but the ancestral and exotic.

  • I'am quite young but seeing all these older people and no sort of mixed group of young and old is putting me off of Ti Chi.

  • wow he was makeing the water in the river move

  • @Council13 lol thats why i wanna learn tai chi haha

  • does this work for baby blues.

  • Oh how Tai Chi reminds me of Avatar :) i still hope i will be capable of bending water one day ....

  • be sure to look into chin na in depth to add to you tai chi also but for now just learn tai chi basics.

  • Most practice Tai Chi to improve circulation and relaxation. That's why lots of old people do it. It might surprise the young imbeciles out there, but everybody's body decays as you age. In fact, that's what aging means. If you think you won't realize one day that time has flown by and you're old now, you're in for a shocking wake up call.

  • i was told by my doctor to take this to help with parkinsons does it

  • @mraltha2010 from what I have heard, it helps with Parkinson's and people who have suffered small strokes, which is why I am here. it's also amazing for people with major anxiety and stress disorders as well as others I probably dont even know about.

  • I love the old ppl in the back doing tai chi. :D don't break something grandma!

  • It might seem slow, but Taichi is fast when u fight....

For ex, u see taichi masters being slow, but when he hits he hits so fast u barely see it coming, because u expect a slow attack.

  • not to sound chezzy bbut if u focus u can feel the energy moving through u

  • hahahah so true

  • 17 people hail from the Fire Nation.

  • @OushGisher Hey, I'm fire nation (Aries) and I liked it!! LOL!

  • @nightshadows342 Ah, well I am from the water tribes (Cancer)... and must say your Northern Shaolin is quite impressive! : D

  • @OushGisher (Bows) Thank you, thank you. I do appreciate Tai Chi, but I must say, your water bending does make my knees shake trying to hold the poses. lol! I don't believe I quite have the patience... You know us Fire nation people...

  • hes reading a card..

  • my grandad is Ng kum lau

  • i have a question ...is tai chi contains 5 styles?? chen style, yang style, hoa style,wu style and sun style...so which style in tai chi is used??(in nowadays)

  • @sheng287 everybody has their own way of teaching, but usually they can trace their roots back to one of the five original styles.

  • Ian is really good at staying still

  • There are many claims on here, but no facts to back them up. If we state that Tai Chii is good for health or can help vertigo we should probably mention why this is the case. Also, I like Tai Chii, so don't get me wrong there.

  • Oh my gosh i made my first chi ball and i felt it!!!

  • Nice video..If you want see my wooden dymmy too..

    /watch?v=UkhyhZzxIlk

  • whats good for my chi energy in martial arts

  • Dr Lam yu r awesome

  • It's as it is

  • Do u think u is ?

  • my joints are like squeaking like like a squeaky door hingers but feel fuzzy warm am i doing this right?

  • @LegendaryDamon

Its because they are stretching up!!

Don't overdo, Breathing right is the key in tai chi!!!

  • taichi is also a martial arts people..don't ever let its slow movements fool u

  • Dr. Lam I think your martial art is great !

    U r admired!

  • Tai Chi badass granma!!!: )

  • what's the good stuff about this?

  • Este chinito es gracioso y tiene buena forma de hacer Taiji, pero se ha ido muy lejos.

  • water bending from avatar!!!

  • Oh my lord I joined a group and didn't know what it was and signed up for it anyway. LOL i thought it was about chopping people to the ground. This is ok

  • I want to learn ! Tai Chi !

  • alahmak...all real bullshit...go to China learn from a certified teacher of credibale standing.....don't beleive others..al half past six?okdon't be a fool to all salesmen.

  • A journey of a thousand miles starts with one cliché

  • Tia Chi is a healthy way to live the remaining years of your life.I have just started and enjoy the exercise very much.

  • waterbending

  • @dimeandselenarocks yes, the last avatar's moves are actually based from taichi and with the stick on wushu..

  • thats cool

  • Wow.. even at something as peaceful as this, I fail at.

  • very good video

  • @Kruelwanderer911 Sure.... then where are they? I've looked it up in youtube and this was all i found......... want to be nice and suggest smthing?

  • @theonewhosaidNO Haha I guess you're right. Well I haven't found any vids on youtube, but I've read and learned a lot about Tai-Chi and it was actually a method of fighting for the most elite in Ancient China. In the last 100 years when Red-China (communism) was arising, the government had to put a stop to Tai-Chi practitioners because they were afraid they would be too powerful. Watch the movie called "Twin Warriors" it's about Tai-Chi's true power ^-^

  • @Kruelwanderer911 Ok.... two hours ago i was looking for a good martial arts movie to watch...... i watched ninja assassin and now thanks to you I'm downloading Twin Warriors..... i hope it's good.....

  • @Kruelwanderer911 it was.... strange..... not what i expected... but it really shoved tai-chi's true power... i think i might try to practice tai-chi....

  • cmon.... in this video it looks that tai chi is only for old people!

  • very interesting..Is it an ancient Chinese Martial Arts that heals ailments and sickness?

  • Is slow moving kung fu

  • this is hard, but im going to practice :)

  • verry intresting =)

  • ha !! after 4months of practise, I now wake and bake with some tai chi each day. I would recommend it :)
