No all abnormal cells are pre-cancerous or HPV. They can be a bacterial infection, cervicitis, trama to the cervix, and folic acid deficiencies among others. Always demand and HPV DNA test if you are told you have precancerous cells. Also consider HPV (both high and low risk) can be taken care of by the bodies immune system. Avoid surgerical treatment unless you absolutely need it to prevent cancer, but be informed. If a physician suggests a LEEP immediately, find another physician.

vaccination is really necessary for every woman to get rid of cervical cancer. but before you undergo vaccination, be sure you dont have any other illness that may complicate the vaccination.

This vaccine is HARMFUL ... and it does NOT last for life .. in fact they DO NOT KNOW how long it will remain effective (and its effectiveness is VERY QUESTIONABLE)

It raises the risks of cervical cancer in those already exposed to HPV

i agree, pap smear is totally nothing, i know about other cases, when pap smear shows nothing, and then on colposcopy abnormal cell are visible, so PAP smear is really very UNREALIABle

HPV is the cause of 99% of cervical cancers. Every year there are more than 6.2 million new infections of HPV. That's why it's so important to get the HPV vaccine.

@mybestshotweb The "immunization" only protects against four strains out of 200 and more. It [the shots] cause infertility, along with 3000 reported cases that required hospitalization.(On that note, it was made by the same company who made the arthritis shot that killed 27,000 people.)

I have found out that I have cervical cancer, and not all strands of cervical cancer is caused by HPV. Mine was not HPV. I hate the commercials that say that cervical cancer is caused by HPV. I think that is just a way to get more money. Before they go around confusing everyone, they need to let people know that not all cervical cancer is caused by HPV!

THANK YOU!!! I had an abnormal pap and the doc didn't even breathe the word hpv till i said something. She said it didn't come back on the pap and when i had the colposcopy (it wasn't cancer thank Jesus) it didn't show either. my aunt had stage four (she's fine now) and she didn't have hpv either.

The FDA knew before they licensed Gardasil, that if you have already been exposed to HPV and you get the vaccine, your risk of cancer increases 44%.

and what about when the cervical cancer is not caused by HPV? my mother die of a hereditary cervical cancer, how can you know if you have it or not??, i'm virgin, but old, i may also in risk of cervical cancer, cause i never have given birth or have sex, is not only related to HPV.

I would just like you to be aware that the cervical cancer I had was undetectable until I had an interuterine biopsy. Which came only after I was hospitalized for cervical bleeding and I almost died!!!!My doctors never told me a thing about HPV and pap tests were normal.......two of my doctors refused to do a biopsy, ultra sound, mri or ct scan, eventhough I had a discharge for over one year and my cervix was ten times bigger than normal!!!!!!!!! A pap smear is not enough.

And the reason they recommend giving this vaccination to 11 to 13 year olds is that the drug has the best possibility for success at that age. The older you get, the least successful this vaccination is.
