all hail mis davis 1 of the queens st. baby got BACK, style, and class. never really noticed her partners always had my eye on her. she rocked the short cut and wore it well. check her out in the all black outfit lord have mercy....
*takes look a video again...shakes head*...no that's not Ralph...Ralph was her partner in the early 70s...forget the dude she danced with in the late 70s...But Thelma always lucked out...she had GREAT partners that complimented her smooth and classic moves.
Agrees with Cornelius...She hit her stride in the 70s...esp the MID 70s...YES the West Coast Swing..she would KILL IT!...however she brought sooo much cool and lcass in the 80s...LURVED to see her move.
Thanks for the tribute to one of my favorite ST dancers. Thelma projects such beauty and class. I would have love have seen more from the 70's when she, with her signature cropped fro and flower, shone the best.
BTW, who is the male dancer (her partner) at 1:11? He is another favorite -- always very expressive -- but I've never known his name>
I love how everyone took care of themselves in those days all the women had beautiful bodies
