It always ran north and south.. ironforge and stormwind or north and south of eachother, so it would actually be running east and west.. Another wierd thing is, when you came to the wall on it, you stopped, instead of kept going. Bliz code seems to make you evade(like a mob) when theres a collision like that.. for instance, if youd fly into the alliance blimp in northrend from below, and not land, and just stay there, the blimp will go through you because you're on a different plain than it is

no the real idea was that the tram should get from SW to darnassus but then they made it IF in exchange you can go to SW from Aldrassill(to the SW harbor) with 3.0.2 oh and the ocean between IF and SW is because of the Darnassus reason but forgot to delete it

It was because the tram was originally ment to go to darn i heared but ofc blizz got lazy and made it possbile for horde to have something to go to all citys without buying a port.

Ironforge is to the North of Stormwind, therefore the tram normally runs North and South.

yes but the tram is instanced, if you look at your minimap when in there you'll notice...you aint going north to south :P and where the hell is that under water bit? (dont say an underground cavern cos that would be impossible, plus there would be no sunlight to light it up)
