  • Hey Junkman, just wondering where you get your supplies from (particularly the pads, backing plate, and Adam's polishes)? And what is the optimal temperature I should polish the car at (I know that it should be done in a shaded area)?

  • @sidhucer00789 I get everything I use from the Adam's Polishes website. You can too and you can also get a discount if you use my discount code. You can work in temperatures as low as 50 and as high as 90. It's really not the outside temperature that you need to watch, it's the temperature of the car's surface. That's what is really important. Too hot is a killer.

  • het man you are funny , loved the video , thank you!!

  • @haist82 Thanks! :)

  • that looks like a KY tag! im from northern TN so i see them a lot

  • @CosmicTruthify There is only one fix for a scratch that has gone through the paint as far as I'm concerned and that is a repaint. There are scratch repair kits on the market but they never look as good as a proper respray. You can find dozens of scratch repair kits advertised here on You Tube.

  • You videos are awesome - you're very entertaining. Thank you.

  • @GeorgeGraves Thanks for watching. :)

  • birds must not like fords

  • LOL "butta" :) Cool vid. Never tried adams. I am currently a Menzerna/Megs 105/205 fiend. Using an old school cyclo and FLEX.

  • Sweet idea, grit guards... Where can I get those?

  • @blupheonix44 Adam's Polishes has them available on their website.

  • I think the NY's say "Warsh"

  • I jus want to say thanks for the videos! You have been an inspiration! My car looks awesome thanks to you!

  • @PlaneDeb

Thank you for watching! Glad I could help. : )

  • THAT'S where that second screw goes on the foam gun! I had the top one figured, that was easy. Never even noticed the end of the mix adjust was threaded.

Any idea why it's there Junkman? My foam gun seemed to work fine the first six times I used it with out it.......LOL

  • @wullu5

You lost me. What screw are you talking about?

  • @Junkman2000

At about 4:35 you can see a screw at the end of the mixture adjustment rod. There is an indentical one on top of the foam gun.

  • @wullu5

Okay, that screw. Mine was already assembled and the only thing that I've ever adjusted was the amount of soap that gets dispensed.

  • Junkman...UR AWESOME! keep up the goo work.

  • @VaeVictus666

    Thanks man, will do!

  • @Junkman2000

Greetings from Ontario Canada man !!!! Hey I just spent about 4 hours watching your various videos - just wanted to give a big shout out for letting me know about the PC - I have to get me one of these for sure.

My question is how does Adams products compare to Zaino - I have been a Zaino user for 5 years doing all my jobs by hand / towels buffing. Does Adams have a Canadian link? Also, does the PC correct orange peel as well ?

Let me know - thanks again man for the vids

  • @Coronakid67

I can better answer all of your questions if you shoot me an email. I can't post any links here.

  • @Coronakid67

Hey, Ontario here too man! Watching vids on polishing, as I want to get into the detail biz.. Can anyone tell me what the difference between wet sanding and cut and polishing is?? What would be better for a 1 year old paint job, with some swirl and orange peel.....?

  • Does your Christmas sweater get caught up on your faux beard when you put it on?

  • @ponch38

What the hell you doing out here Ponch! You don't even clean you cars! lol!

  • wolverines been doing his stuff all over my car too lol, your videos are gonna help me repair it :) thanks Junkman, great videos my man

  • @pumpkinzer0

You should actually check out the thread where these videos are posted. There is a lot of info there which is not seen is these videos.

  • You are the BEST!

  • @ASeventhSign

    Thanks bro'!

  • Junkman thanks to you, your videos and instruction, my '07 Dodge Charger that started life as a rental car with swirled, hazed, and abused to hell paint now has a PERFECT mirror shine and the pearl coat just blows me away!

Thanks a bunch Junkman you ROCK!

  • Wow my man, that's flattering! I'm glad it worked out for you. You should jump over to Adam's Forums and let me see some pics of that bad boy!

    Thanks for watching!

  • ok Teach, will follow your directions, the only thing I dont have a clue on is cleaning the pads CORRECTLY??I have a whole bunch of them.

BTW the polish I used was "Ultimate" , by Mequairs. The good news is it did remove most of the water stains!! Yes I did clay bar first last month.

  • I will be uploading a video this week on how I clean my pads. If you are subscribed, then you will be notified.

  • @Junkman2000 i will be looking for those videos

  • Hi Teach! well today was my first try w/ a used Pc, I found one used w/ pads and more, I carefully followed your great instructions, now you wouldnt know it , but you were spoke of and thought of. This young Marine sold it to me,as I live in a Marine Base town.

Love the PC! BTW I did only turn on and off while it was on hood!

Some boys girls DO listen. Ha!

  • Good for you! Now you realize that this technique is not one that you would use to do the entire car unless you are using a hard paste type of polish. If you are using a liquid type of polish, you implement this technique to help keep your pads fresh and from getting clogged up with polish.

If your pads are not getting caked with product, then you use my normal technique of 3 pea sized drops of polish with the PC turned up to a speed of 5 using 9-14 pounds of pressure.

    Good luck my friend!

  • Very clear video. Excellently spoken and easily understood. Thanks for your efforts, Junkman.

  • Thank you sir!

  • Hey Junkman, excellent video series again! Please keep explaining these extremely useful things and techniques to us ;)

  • Glad to be of service!

  • Nice work but one problem buffer $150 and solutions about $100 what to then we are millionaires that's $250 dollars to buff a car DUDE

  • Was that English you just typed? If you are saying that $250 is too much to spend in supplies in order to care for your ride, then you obviously can't afford a car that is worth caring for anyway.

That's why they have do-it-yourself car washes. For guys and their hoopties.

  • WOW that's a beautiful comment, very cleaver twit, being sarcastic and mean seems to be your real personality instead of the happy go lucky junkman seen on the videos. I was just making a point that not everyone that see's your video's can run out and by this expensive crap. And it has nothing to do with are ride's being good enough brother.

  • Dude, this is obviously not for you. Fine, move along. Some peope will pay a detailer $250 just to clean and wax their car. If that seems like a lot to you then none of my videos are going to be of interest to you. There are plenty of OTC products in auto stores that will accomodate your budget, and don't require a polisher to apply. I suggest you pay them a visit.

  • hey just outta curiousity are you anywhere near cincinati, ohio, what would you charge for a full wet sand and buff?

  • Actually, I'm just down the road from you. The only problem is this is way too much work for me to do for a living. My father use to do it for a living but I'm a computer consultant. It is a lot easier on sweat and pays a lot more money!

I would be willing to show you how to do it in person though. It would only cost you a trip to Outback with me and my appetite. : )

  • man if your serious i'm hit you up on here this week hopefully you'll be free thurs. or frid.

  • I can make myself available since I'm self-employed. I'm in Louisville, so it's just a hop, skip and a jump for you. Shoot me an email and we'll set something up.

  • Hey Junkman, top videos for those who are not professionals like you and I

  • That's who I made them for! There are a million detailers out there who know more than I but have better things to do with their time! I'm just trying to help out the average Joe wants their shine to be as mean as their ride.

  • my girlfriend hate you but you are my hero dude!

  • Damn, another one! lol! Thanks man!

  • I was so excited when I saw more videos uploaded by you!

  • Did you learn anything?

  • On the 2nd vid right now.. They are so helpful!

  • AJ, my shirt is loose, my boots are tight, my buffer is shakin from the left to right

  • lol!

Well, I hope you are removing some swirls with all that action!

  • Junkman, your videos are invaluable. I cannot tell you how much I've learned and how my car care practices have changed since watching your videos. Your accolades are well deserved. Thanks!

  • Thanks Caveman, I really appreciate that!

  • awesome video

  • Another outstanding series from Junkman. I'm gonna name my first kid Junkman - even if it's a girl.

Keep up the great work - I've learned so much!

  • LOL! You cracked me up!
