If your main argument for the comparison was probably the crash physics and speed sensation, as well as graphics, then you should have compared Forza 2 to GRiD. GRiD is better in crash physics and in graphics as well. The problem here is that it wouldn't have been a decent comparison either, since GRiD isn't a simulator. And in the case of DiRT, it is a simulator, but oriented to other types of racing. In that case the best comparison would have been a WRC game, probably.

And whats being said about the damage in dirt? are they trying to encourage players to suck at the game to awe at the realism of what would happen?
Forza is much more realistic which i like in a game. But dirt makes rallying fun beacause most people couldnt drive a rally sim cuz there to used to arcade racers. Although dirt is the closest sim to offroad truck racing i have ever played. Take their truck physics and remake baja and u would have a huge hit

While DiRT has the better looking damage, you can't compare it to Forza 2 because you're talking about two entirely different racing disciplines. And if you're going to compare two games, don't be biased. It doesn't make one game look any better to someone who know what to look for.
Rally and track racing are 2 different disciplines. DiRT and Forza 2 are 2 different games. They're both good at what they try to imitate (I own both). You can't really compare them like this. It's not like comparing a Mario game to a Sonic game.
