996 CARRERA S? you cant get a 996 carrera S, The S is for tiptronic and is slow. The only carrera S is the 997 carrera S. That 996 is 297 BHP and a carrera S 997 is 350 BHP, big difference.

and basic bolt on's on an E36 aint gonna put you on the level of a 996 carrera. an E46 m3 had almot 100 more hp than the e36 and it ran about 13.3, the E36 coupe ran about 14.6 stock. bolt ons on an N/A aint gonna knock of 1 sec..MABE a automatic prefaelift...at least a USDM e36 couldnt, a european market e36 could for sure tho.

Nobody is hating the porsche owner here, in fact I'd love to have a 911 turbo, but it's always nice to see a cheaper car perform as well.

I do get it, but in the end, the golf is a good car, but really shouldnt be compared to an old carrera.. FWD hatchback vs the benchmark of sportscars
