I don't see why they didn't try to digivolve all their digimon to help omnimon rather than just watching on the sidelines. I mean seriously, omnimon is strong, but he's only two digimon.

That's why the American Digimon movie is a combination of the first three movies. Which turned out to be a bad thing, because they had to cut scenes from the third movie to shorten the length of the film. Read up on the third movie on Wikipedia.
