  • great video....great music....thanks!!!

  • This was a great vidieo tell the music came up!!!!!! Try no music, or non gendar music... To bad you do not give measurements though. Your voice is great, your know how is great, but your noise,

that you call music just sucks..... GOD BLESS!

  • I just tried this (minus the tea tree) and added organic coconut oil instead. It came out fantastic! Thanks again!

  • Love it! I am going to try this tonight! Thanks so much!

  • cute video how long should one use it before it goes bad since its all natural ingredients, the expiration date is sooner on such products.

  • How do you get it to stay that consistency?

  • I'm definitely trying this!!

  • thanks for the video, im gonna try it with some coconut oil. :)

  • You really shouldn't soften it in the microwave...try and soften it over a pan of water

  • such a doll you are, and I have been online checking out Shea butter to order , and as I see I will save some dollars, so thanks a bunch for sharing your method, I will be doing the same ,,,, blessings to you

  • Nice instructional video...I create my body butter the same way....I must say six months... Really? My body butter is used up in six weeks LOL...because everyone is now using it instead of the lotion I bought. Maybe I can store some in the garage. :D

  • great vidio. Thanks!!

  • You're a doll. I've enjoyed watching your video. You've inspired me to experiment with using my favorite oil, Sandalwood, in whipped sheabutter.

  • Hi, my name is Regina, i enjoyed your vid, you showed a very easy and simple way of making this, plus it was cost effective, i make all sorts of skin care products plus handmade soaps all of types, again thanks :)

  • please speak better sheesh

  • Cool. Gonna go for it in a bit!

  • you live in detroit? we're close I'm in romulus. Nice video btw. I bought a ton of shea butter for 25 dollars it's great.

  • good vid, thank u

  • i have that same red spatula

    not sure of spelling

  • Hi there. Thanks for the tips. Have a good day!

  • @ KT313 i live in detroit too could you tell me where exactly you got your shea butter

  • That vitamin E that you used is Tocopherol Acetate/Synthetic not the real thing, which would be your Gamma-dL, Alpha dL, Beta dL The real vitamin E is going to penetrate the skin and actually heal the skin. Just info, do what you like. I do like and appreciate your video. Keep up the great work.

You can get the real Vitamin E from WHole Foods or your other local natural food store.

  • Hey! Liked your video. Does the Shea butter mix stay fluffy? I've mixed my butter before, but it never looked light and fluffy like yours, it appeared creamed, but not like a whip. I didn't use beaters, used my paddle on my mixer. Could this be the problem? Thanks, and you're right, you can save tons of money doing your own.

    :)

  • how do you store it and preserve it? and do you have to reheat it up or does it just stay soft?

  • Will definitely be making this. How long does it last?

  • How do you store it?

  • Thank you Baby Sister for this video, it will make my life a lot easier and my hair will love it.

    Moon

  • Great video

  • LOVED your video. I used to use more whipped shae butter, but now I use shea with aloe vera as a hair dressing. it's lovely and I am can switch it up depending on the season. Thanks so much for sharing your technique, and it was fun watching you and knowing we're not out there alone cooking up this gold.

  • Thanks girl i brought some from a friend of mine and i didn't know how to use this stuff being so damn hard.

  • Thanks for the demo!

HOW LONG DOES THIS STAY FRESH FOR AFTER YOU HAVE MIXED IT?

    tHANKS

  • how long does it stay good for?

  • does your butter settle after awhile and harden? Ive tried making it before and after awhile its no longer creamy and whipped...tryin to figure out how to avoid this. any suggestions?

  • im gonna try coco butter

  • So I wash , condition , then apply this ?

  • @itzy2112 no, shea butter is an excellent moisturizer

  • thank you so much. really helpful

  • I see your olive oil is from Meijer. We have Meijer here in Grand Rapids, Mich. Where do you live?

  • I will definently be trying this recipe. It looks simple to make. But, how long does it last?

  • I just found this video and luved it you were very informed, I will be trying this

  • Your video was very informative and I appreciate it. I'm glad that you chose to let us know that we did not have to have the $15 essential oils. I also love your personality. What leaves the heart reaches the heart! Thanks:)

  • Do I really need vitamin e?

  • @MsBabyBoppa No, the standard whipped shea butter mix is just 6-8oz. of unrefined shea butter and 4 TBSP of a cold pressed organic oil and a few drops of a preservative (tea tree oil, rosemary oil etc.). And thats it, my mom uses just the olive oil, shea butter and a few drops of tea pepper mint oil and lemon oil and thats it.

  • how long does it stay creamy?

  • you make me want to go try this out !!

come to London and teach us your stuff , love it you go girl

  • Hi have you ever tried almond oil vs tea tree oil? I've heard of it being used in place of the tto in a deodorant recipe. Just wondering can you imagine the smell yum lol

  • this video is the best one ive seen so far on making whipped butter! nice simple recipe

  • Shea Butter is not supposed to be yellow, it comes in ivory, tan, or beige/cream color, never white, grey or yellow (This is African Butter). I buy mine from SheaButterhut's site because I can buy two 1lb each for less than 9.95 and get the third free, plus the S&H is reasonably priced.

  • @nyishaj123 Also, Hollywood Beauty doesn't sell pure Tea Tree oil, that's a mixed blend which is why it has a yellow tint to it, the pure Tea Tree oil is more expensive and it is clear and comes in a dark bottle for protection and a plastic cap to restrict the flow, because Tea Tree oil is strong you only will need a max of 50 drops depending on how large your batch is and what you want to accomplish in your mix. Tea Tree oil is great on dandruff as well as other things.

  • How long does a batch of whipped shea butter last (w/o spoiling)?

  • @pamdfos My mom makes this exact mix and it lasts her about 3 weeks without getting alil stiff or growing mold.

  • @pamdfos If you don't mix any water based products or water in it, like glycerine, Aloe Vera (all forms), or gel. Shea Butter has a two year shelf life and depending on your other oils shelf life it can last about six months maybe a year, if it is kept in a cool dry place.

  • you are great, voice tone good, you are practical yet informative and worth watching. thank you for sharing and giving advice to make your own. In this economy for woment with children, the elderly plus othe'sr what a great benefit to make your own product and pass it on. your heart is big a nd impresses me. Thanks for not talking like a baby. tou are to the point.

  • Do you think this can be done without a mixer? Cuz I don't have one =/

  • Man i was freaking out on HOW to mix! I see soooo many ppl mixing with HIGH price oils and and blending stuff glad to see a easy and a mixer LOL...Where do one stote this? and how long can it stay whipped?? I see u said u use ECO i do too but it ALWAYS leave this white flake in me n my kids hair~! Anyway to stop that? WONDERFUL TUT!! Faved it!

  • Im bot to open up a busness doin the same thing you are doing....lol

  • from where we buy shea butter

  • how long can you keep it before it gets expired/bad?

  • Great tutorial!

  • i heard that the yellow shea butter is refined and processed and should not be used. White shea butter is better

  • hello, i think that what u made is great..but it looks nasty, lol.. and im not trying to be rude...lmao...i think becuz its yellow..i dunno..

  • I've been searching for someone with a simple recipie for the shea butter mix and yours is the best so far keep all the good ideas comming

  • I see that you are using Olive oil from Meijer. Are u from GR? Where do you usually by your shea butter?

  • @818poochie

nope, I'm from Detroit, there's no Meijer in Detroit, so i have to go to Roseville to get it, and i get my shea butter from the local beauty supply store

  • @818poochie visit beutifuloutside. com You will love the whipped organic shea butter. It is unrefined organic and whipped with nourishing coconut, jojoba, and apricot oils for a creamy spreadable texture. It is made to easily penetrate skin and hair, providing moisture without clogging pores.

  • Hi, I just wanted to know if you cud use the mix as a deep conditioner or only as a pree poo?

  • When you were adding the olive oil I could hear somebody whispering...they were like "Too much!"...then they were like "Damn maybe not"....Lol!

  • @SincerelyChelz

OOOH MYYY GODDDD!!! lol... This video has been up for 8 months & I've never noticed it... BTW that was my twin she was holding the camera, lol, Good ear, lol

  • @KT313 Lol maybe its because I had headphones on, ^_^

  • great vid.. i totally agree with not spending 15+ dollars on shea butter other people make at their home when you can do it juz as cheap

  • love the video.....glad the oils were common ones and not things that are hard to find.

  • love your video and i am glad you did not use a bunch of expensive oils......

  • does it remain creamy? i know whipped shea butter tends to solidify after a few hours. how do u whip urs?

  • Thank you so much for the tips in the video. Just one question, how do you store it? Can it be left out or does it have to remain cold?

  • @ggbeanbean

you're welcome :-). I store my shea butter at room temperature (on my dresser). I've never tried refrigerating it, but wherever you store your shea butter, just make sure that the place where you store your shea butter isn't too warm.(because you wouldn't want it to melt)

  • thxs for video. I will be trying this.

  • where you store your shea butter mix?

  • great video

  • Great video thx so much, quick question have you ever used coconut oil in your whipped shea?

  • @tlc1271

thanks, I've never used coconut oil in my whipped shea butter mix, but I'm sure it would turn out great if its added to the mix.

  • Great video!!!!!!!! Just subscribed!!!

  • @249money

    thanks! :-)

  • @blackbutterfly38 you're welcome :-)

  • I cant find tea tree anywhere.. where did you get it?

  • It can be found at health food stores. It can also be found in beauty supply stores. Those contain additives which mean that they are not pure

  • @cprice85666 I got my tea tree oil from my beauty supply store, but i know CVS and Walgreens have it,
