  • you guys are retarted it's the horses choice there is a movie about it the horse is willing to do this!!! it's called wild hearts can't be tamed so u guys should just shut up

  • One word for this... WHY?

  • This is just as cruel as horse racing... the horses don't have a choice...

  • Yeah "once he is in the ramp, there are no trap doors!" (and whatever else he said) YEAH. You didn't mention the fact that the space he goes in is impossible for him to turn around or back up. When he gets to the top you can see he's looking for a way out and then realizes he's forced to jump. This poor horse is forced, indirectly.

  • Wow I saw the same show there in 1987 c. I have vague memories of this place. I was about 7. I've been looking and this is the place. Good memories. I met the real Santa there lol.

  • that's just fuckin torturing a poor horse...the man tells the People "Once Lightning is on the ramp he is ready to jump!"

He is fucking forced to jump, because he can't move back arround....

    stupid fuckers...

  • Mais c'est quoi ce truc !!!! :o mon dieu..

  • C'est vraiment n'importe quoi ! Mais ou va le monde ?!

  • Humans are so Cruel to Earthlings

  • sorry for my 2 spelling mistakes - i do know

  • i personally think that it's not funny, sorry to be a spoilsport but you could see that the horse didn't take it like a duck to water, it was hesitating a lot and because the chute was so small it couldn't turn around and go back so it's only option was to jump, i am a huge horse lover and yes i know its 'only water' but the poor horse was clearly uncomfortable, but take my advice, if you do ti in the future - at leats make the jump drastically smaller and make the chute wider ...

  • He probably doesn't like to dive. No horse really wants to do anything except sit around and eat grass. But it's just like when they get ridden, we make them do certain things and reward them when we can. You can see him jump out and go straight to the grain bag. He's figured that jumping is worth the grain at the end. It's all about positive reinforcement.

  • I knew a person who lived on a lake. Part of the beach was about 13 feet up from the water. Her horse would jump off, swim to shore, and do it again because he liked to. No one taught him, no one made him. He just liked diving into the water.

  • okey, i don't like it but i don't think its animal cruelty becaus they don't force the horse to dive, even if it don't have another way, you get it...

Sorry my bad english, comes from sweden.

  • I think it is great there is one last place where there is a SMALL jump for a diving horse left on this planet....I am a HUGE animal lover and do not tolerate cruelty to animals BUT this is NOT cruelty-it's water for goodness sakes!!!! He probably loves it - dogs jump into water freely all the time, and some horses like it too! Get real you freaks!

  • dumb people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! asshole!!

  • This seems so cruel! He looks so scareddd!!!!!!

  • They claim Lightning isn't forced or electrocuted or anything but check out :45 seconds in. The trainer sticks his thumb up Lightning's butthole causing him to run up the chute!

  • @TheJrzdevil im sorry but you cant see where the horse goes up the chute, so i dont know where you got that from

  • this is cruel

  • @rockyroxzable In all the years they were diving horses (over 50yrs) not one horse was ever injured. EVER. They chose horses that were brave and WILLING to jump. They were never EVER forced to jump. Let's compare horse diving to horse RACING. In racing, thousands of horses die from injuries suffered from racing too young, accidents while racing, or even while training. Now which one seems more like animal cruelty to you???

  • Franchement la connerie humaine n'a décidément aucune limite ! Je plaint les gens qui payent pour voir sa ce sont des cas perdus de débilité profonde !

  • That is so lame! Poor horse!

  • yayy gooo lightning! suck it peta

  • listen, they are training to do this!!!!!!!!! there is no abuse at all. the announcer says so!!!!!! so go fuck urself if u think this is abuse. the horse is 1,000 pounds, a human is 100. if the horse didn't want to do it u couldn't make him.

  • @gypsyvanner99 listen bub you dont make a animal do this they dont like it . obviosly u dont like horse this is just to intertain losers like you

  • This is sick and people should boycott this horrible place.......It's funny how they don't show the horse walking up the chute for the dive......Probably someone whipping him, since he knows what he's going to have to do.......Just shows, that people have no regard for living things and it's sad. As long as these people are entertained , not at their expense, they just don't give a damn.

  • @Punchym30 - There is animal cruelty out there, but this diving horse's life isn't an example of it. Maybe you could rant in the comments sections of horse racing videos instead. You might actually be less wrong that way.

  • hey ppl how do u know he dosent like it? huh? can u read his mindd? yeah didnt think so so stop bein fags. yeah could b animal abuse and could not who knows but if was theyd get turned in for it fags.

  • I looked up Magic Forest's (an amusement park for small children) website and they explain that the pool is 14 feet deep (it's recessed into the ground several feet) while the horse goes down 9 feet on a jump, and the animal gets oats after every one of its dives. It jumps twice a day, two months of the year, only in good weather. The rest of the time it has no duties. It is never forced off the platform, and jumps in on its own. Just because horses don't normally dive doesn't make it cruelty.

  • pretty much theres no way out of him diving theres people prob behind him saying yayaayaya

  • what the fuss bout the horse look very calm 2 me, it means they train the horse to b use 2 diving n abyway back in the old days horse had to jump from higher up n that is sick.

  • Wow. I have NEVER liked the idea of diving horses. It's absolutely ridiculous and the people liked this video are just as twisted. It may be more humane than it was in the past, but did the person film this, the dipshits in the audience and the people who like this video not see how scared he was? I guess for him it's either jump or get hit and not fed. Good job humanity. You've once again triumphed over an innocent animal :D

  • thats just cruel, he could break his led, and that water is way to shallow, sick people!

  • That sucks for the horse he obviously does not want to do this Im sure. They should have the announcer doing bellyflops out of that chute, now that would be entertaining.

  • this is much more humane then how they did it in the 50s. for 1, there is no rider, the jump is shorter, and the horse doesnt have 2 jump from a full gallop- I like this way a hell of a lot better

  • Horses are amazing creatures you should not push them off of tall things. I honestly feel like this is not enjoyable for the horse.

  • they had feed for him

  • Ridiculous...its obviously two goats dressed as a horse, what a rip.

  • i bet there was someone standing behind him with a whip r something, making him jump into the water x

if he liked it he would go for it without hesitation :S

    poor thing

  • so they are still doing this today. you may be screaming that this is inhumane however back during the depression they used to gallop horses over an even higher tower and dive into the water with a rider. if you don't believe me go watch the movie Wild Hearts Can't be Broken.

  • he cannot turn back anyway, and he really didn'T look like he enjoyed it.. poor horse

  • He looks like my rat, when it is gauging his next jump. So cute.

  • this looks horrible. i know the horse did not buck/kick but they could have still not have wanted to do this! also, he could have hurt himself, and others. it may look cute but this is crule. please dont hate me, cuz im only trying to give this horse, and others in this condition some justice!

  • I agree with you but commenting on a video is not giving anyone any justice.

    sorry.

  • This is cruel!

  • If he liked it they wouldn't have to put him in a chute.

  • @UgRN the chute is so it doesn't fall off and so it is directed where to go <___< and they can still back up, if you watch it jumps in, none of the horses were ever injured, and they don't use cruel things to them in these shows. Maybe you should do your research a little bit better.

  • ...How is this at all cute?

  • As cute as the video is, I do have to wonder how animal rights is not throwing a fit over this.

  • that's so cute!

  • that is SO cruel! he obviously doesn't wanna do it!

  • If he didn't want to do it, you would see him kicking, and bucking. He's alittle uneasy at first, but if he really didn't want to...he would be fighting up a storm.

  • very true. he's done this bit more than a few times and knows that there is a delicious treat waiting for him on the other side of that water.

  • Isn't this illegal now?

  • Take it from someone who breaks in horses and also owns a trick horse, just because he isn't kicking and bucking doesn't mean that he likes it. He prob just got used to the idea that he either jumps or gets a hell of a prod up the backside if he doesn't!!!

  • Whaaaaat?
