  • The pianist who plays...everything!

  • OMG...Absolutely beautiful, transcended, heavenly. Thank you so much Philippe Henri Jean Émile Léon Entremont.

  • Stunning... flawless timing... loads of room to breathe. How I miss this style of playing.

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • kentuckky fried chicken man

  • @jameslo93 pot calling the kettle black eh??? Cheers! Wipe your chin!!

  • Bravissimo. THIS is Chopin. People like Lang Lang will never understand it...

  • jeez, i just watch his saint-saens piano concerto no 4 2nd mvt and now, what a difference i mean his body not his playing........... his playing still amazing, fabolous and nice sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Monsieur Philippe Entremont is an unique master of pianoforte. I had the honour and pleasure of listening his interpretation of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 at the Palacio de las Bellas Artes in Mexico City, early in the 1990's. His technique is simply superior. Bravooo maestro!

  • It's such a shame Entremont isn't given the credit he rightly deserves. He has gone under the radar for many decades. It was his disc of Chopin Scherzi and Ballades that made me fall in love with the piano as a young boy.

  • @abmephise

I can relate to Phiullipe Entremont being an early inspiration. I agree somehow he's a little overlooked in relation to good he was. maybe he would have fared better as a german or russian - who knows...

    Good to hear him here!

  • Elegant!

  • If my memory is correctly, Mr. Entremont had quite a technique in his prime. I remember hearing the Greig concerto on radio. He cadenza was truly amazing, as was the entire interpretation. I'm glad he's still performing.

  • How I wish he recorded the Rachmanonov 3rd.

  • ..and what a sound! what a tone!!

  • Not enough of this great pianist is on YouTube ,which is a gerat pity, as he ranks as one of the many fine and great pianists of the 20th century.

  • indeed, we're so short of this level of pianism these days. This is more than beautiful playing but a purification. lang lang should learn from master like him.

    simply otherworldly.

  • What a master! Beautiful!
