  • riverfront stadium.

  • Ever tried crack? Cincinnati is plentiful for crack and heroin. Listen to Mental Teleprosy and you'll understand those walls crumblin' down aren't just Mr. Simon Leis. He's the problem. We're the solution. We need to re-invent ourselves here in Cincinnati Ohio and decide what is best for us. SQUIGGY WIGGINZ FOR PRESIDENT!

  • Nice vid. You got a shot over the stadium pretty close to where I sat and watched games. :) It was also fun to walk across the bridge and buy a ticket too.

  • I saw so many great baseball games at "Riverfront" when I was growing up......I was there in the mid-70's for the Big Red Machine. Some fond moments in my life!

  • LOL the lady at 0:58 looks so retarded

  • Im here in San Diego Calif, but was born and raised in CINCINNATI~!! I LOVE CINCINNATI~!!! WOOT WOOT~!!

  • We didn't get a neat spectacle for Shea....it was an agonizing dismantlement

  • 0:53 random much? LOL

  • yea that was a good time... i was there in person... :D

  • kac65

The left field & center field stands were demolished following the 2000 season, thus reducing the capacity to 40,007. The Reds played in the reconfigured Cinergy Field in both 2001 & 2002.

  • Musica de mierda video muy mal editado da asco

  • Awesome video!!! Another superb job!

  • This was only 3/4 of the Stadium the first quarter was torn down a year early to make room for the new stadium. new of guys who built the new one they would have lunch and break were they could watch the games.

  • Must be incredible to see that in person...it's amazing how quickly dynamite can bring down such a big stadium.

  • Those were some priceless expressions.

  • lol TNT rebuilds Cinergy field1:14

  • great music for this

  • I head they didn't have to use dynamite....the Bungles just blew another game!

  • We had VIP passes from O'Rourke, the company who imploded the building. We were the closest you could get, on the Paul Brown Stadium Lot D. I was only 9 when it happened.

  • The implosion process was actually contracted to DH Griffin Wrecking of Greensboro, N.C.

  • That happened on my daughters 10th birthday!

Cinergy Stadium just isnt the same as "RIVERFRONT" stadium!

  • I still can't believe they tore down Riverfront Stadium. I remember when it was built ! Damn I'm old. I moved away in '91 and when I heard they tore it down I was in disbelief. Thank god I have a nice framed pic of it I took from the river!

  • 0:56 looks like a sheep in amazement

  • lol Reverse "Yay It's Back Up!"

  • look this ladys face @ 0:56 lol

  • it will always be Riverfront Stadium to me

  • that was crazy. i was on the other side of the river

  • I still think they should have kept the old stadium for both teams. Would have saved some money. I still wonder if the lawsuits between the Bengals and the County are still in court. Mike Brown made it seem like if they got a new stadium they would be better. They were later down the road had what 3 betters seasons and had one playoff game, but for a while they havent been doin good. You can play good or bad in the same stadium lol.

  • 1:51. That's where I was when i watched it. it was that orange building the camera looks down on. I was on the 4th floor of that building

  • It's amazing how they do that! when 3 rivers came down i can tell you that heinz field was like 8 feet away and it didn't have a scratch on it!

  • I still have no idea how none of the wreckage didnt even touch GABP.

  • Comment removed

  • i played a few games there when i was a young pup

  • I still haven't been in the new stadium but I remember going to a couple reds games in the old one. Sad sad video.

  • I agree, I cried when this happened. In fact, this video still makes me cry. I remember going to Riverfront as a kid. It's where I fell in love with the game and it will always have a special place in my heart. GABP is a wonderful park, very fan friendly... but Riverfront will always be home to me!!

  • I felt the same way when Indianapoplis Colts RCA DOME went down Yr 2008. I attended thier Last game ever played at the dome. it was a Playoff Game Vs The Sandiego Chargers.(we Lost) Most of the Time, the fans will leave at the end Of the game, But this time, Many took an Hour to leave. you can see it in thier eyes, They didnt want to leave cause they Knew it was thier last. it was sooo sad to watch. But we all have fond memories but have a new Home with the Lucas Oil Stadium! ~JON

  • Ah. I remember this. I remember waking up early just to watch it on TV. haha.

  • I heard WKRP had Venus cover that implosion.

  • I saw three baseball games in that stadium and I had a stiff neck after each game, lousy sightlines. Sing it John.

  • lol

  • Sad. So many memories. But I can keep making new ones at GABP!

  • Thank god these stadium's are all gone now. They were the worst stadium's ever built. I'm talking about this one, Three Rivers, Busch, Veterans, Fulton County, the Kingdome and finally this is the last year of the Metrodome. Good Riddance to the worst era of stadium construction.

  • Wow! i lived there all my life still living here and i just knew

  • in other videos of this people are cheering. I cant figure out why, i was at the last game played here. depressing

  • Grew up in Jamestown,Oh. That was a depressing video.Well atleast I still have those "Big Red Machine" memories from the Johnny Bench,Pete Rose daze :)

  • i don't know. i'm not a reds fan, but watching stadiums torn down are sad for me to watch.

  • Love da song lol very approipriate. Stadiums look sool cool when theyre imploded, although theyre memories that will be missed in many of them.

  • I was there. It was intense.:)

  • Actual date was December 29th. I know bwcause I was there in person.

  • mbaehner, Thank you for the correction. I did not post the video until years later and forgot the actual date. I did edit the description after your post.

  • Just a shame the Bengals werent in there when they imploded it - probably would have saved those fans alot of trouble

  • lmfao im a bengals fan, gotta love em.

i was there when it imploded, and no there we no bengals in it sadly.

  • I wished Cincinnati had homes close together and taller high-rise buildings downtown like the cities of Chicago, or NYC.

  • i was there

  • Why call it "Cinergy Stadium Implosion in Cincinnati Ohio" why not call it "Cinergy Stadium Implosion in Cincinnati Ohio plus a bunch of no bodies watching it". What a waste of time. Who wants to see people, we wanted to see the explosion.

  • veterans stadium and the kingdome were UGLY this is actually a nice stadium i thought, i mean visually

  • It'll always be Riverfront Stadium to me. Home of the Big Red Machine

  • to me its the house that rose built.

  • That stadium always sucked anyway.Crosley field ruled.

  • I lived in Cicinnasti when the stadium came falling down. What an event. I moved from nasti land to Orlando Florida. I do miss Gold Star Chilli though.

  • Gosh I love the Nnati!

  • thats where i did my demand to go out wiht the 1 i love

  • Its where my Air Coryell met their frozen fate..

  • From the Kentucky side; not bad. :)

  • Couldn't survive one day in 03
